The kitchen had burners powered by gas, but soon they knew the power was going to go off. The outbreak of aliens had been all over the news or at least the last time they saw the news. The tv didn't work. They might have to resort to a generator for the house's electricity. They roughly last up to 10 to 20 years so it'd last for a good time.

"Mhmm. Thanks, chef Blade." Lily teased, biting into her omelet.

"You're welcome, Lily." He chuckled. "Glad you like it." Blade had worn casual attire. He had been doing so for a while now. Being on vacation and everything. Vacation as in alien apocalypse. Whatever that means. He had on a loose gray t-shirt and tight jeans. It felt weird for sure. He was so used to wearing his suit and tie for work and business matters.

It was spring now. Everyone was moaning in delight at the simple breakfast served to them by Blade. Who knew he could cook so well. Lily was thankful, it was good to have a homemade meal.

"I might have lost my appetite," Zane announced as soon as Cherry and Jax sat down at the kitchen table.

"Oh, but you should eat," Angelica told him.

"If you insist." He mumbled. He was already tired of the room arrangements. Well, it didn't take much but this was unreal. Jax and his girl keep going in the room doing "rated R" kinda things. It was disgusting. Now he would do anything to switch rooms. Anything.

"I hate the room arrangements. I'll do anything- anything to share a room with another." Zane's lips moved, almost instantly as those thoughts entered his mind. He couldn't hold it in.

"You know that may mean sharing a room with the opposite gender," Blade responded honestly.

"That's fine. I don't care." He didn't care. So what if he has to share with a girl. It didn't change much with Cherry barging in the room 24/7 eating Jax's face off. Plus, it'd be the girl who would have to worry about sharing a room with him. Though, he's decent not like everyone assumes by his appearance.

"Cherry can switch." Jax blurted out. He had a dirty smile on his face that was indifferent to Cherry's. She looked irritated.

"That alright?" Blade turned to her she nodded her head slowly.

"Fine."  She shrugged.

"So, Cherry you share Jax's room. Zane, you share Angelica's room. Oh, and no funny business, is that clear?" Blade asked, sternly. They all responded, 'Yes, sir! Though, Jax already had that on his mind, knew he wouldn't abide by it.

"Hold up, wait a minute." Andy raised a hand. "Aren't y'all gonna ask Angelica if she's fine with this. I mean, shouldn't she get a say in this?"

"Yes, you are right, Andy,  thank you for bringing this to my attention." Blade clapped his hands together and cleared his throat. "Angelica, are you hearing this? would you be comfortable sharing a room with Zane?"

Angelica's eyes wandered everywhere but on Zane's piercing blue eyes. She felt her heart pounding, her lips dry, and she couldn't think clearly. Did she have much of a choice?

She knew it'd help Zane out if she said yes. However, Zane still scared the shit outta her. She thought back to the ring and how quick Zane was to pin her down and force her into submission. That fight wasn't even fair. But she didn't stand a chance going up against him.

"...y-yeah...it's o-okay..." She lied.

...

It was dark in the room. The blackness encircled the walls, floors, and beds, and the only light was the speck of moonlight casting onto a small section of the wall. Angelica changed in the bathroom into her nightgown. She didn't so much as take a glance on the left side of the room- where she knew Zane would be laying on his bed.
