~2 months later~

*****************************************

The sky was sobbing, and raindrops crashed like cars in messy traffic, colliding with the earth. Who knew H2O could be such a powerful thing falling from the sky?
Did it always rain this much in the summer?

The coffee he drank was dry and bitter. He continued drinking the brown substance and swallowed slowly, frowning as he finished it. He set the ugly mug down on the countertop and sighed deeply.

He scratched at his chin, feeling a subtle texture of tiny hairs there

He didn't care to look clean and shaved at all anymore.

What was the point?

He couldn't mope around forever, and he knew this, but it was still difficult to care about normal things now. All his concerns were towards another goal of his.

Blade watched the dreary sky and listened to the annoying pitter-patter of the rain. It was a haunting rhythm, as he felt that thundering thump in his chest.

The memory saddened him.

He memorized the patterns of the walls, and it bored him to stare at them too long. The white, and edgy surface was dreadful. It put him in an awful mood.

"Is that Zane Lycan sulking over there...." Jax chortled at the doorway to the kitchen.

"Not today, Jax," He flipped him off without so much a glance in his direction. He didn't have time for the muscle-heads commentary or bad jokes. The guy was a dick, and he knew it, but did that stop him from being one? Of course not!

"Fine, I just came to check on you and see what's planned today, eh?"

"Nothing at the moment." He shrugged, unconcerned.

"That's not Blade at all, who's the stranger?" Andy peeked her head in sat on the couch and tilted her head back humming a song.

"I am." Blade gave Andy a sorrowful look. "But you're right. I haven't been myself."

"Yeah, you haven't but that's okay. You see all you need to know is that Lily is a tough girl and we're going to get her back!" Andy says flopping off the couch and moving to Blade to set a pair of hands on his shoulder, and she gave it a tight squeeze. "Come on, man. You're fucking Blade for crying out loud! Our leader so lead us with your head held high and get it together!"

"Hah, we got us a motivator!" Jax chuckled, clapping.

Nixon entered the room pouting at how small he felt, and he tried avoiding eye contact with Andy. He noticed Jax and grimaced. Blade looked a bit uplifted which made Nixon smile at it. He was glad he wasn't brooding anymore.

"Hey, guys!" Trey greeted. He walked into the kitchen and grabbed a six-pack.

"Uh, where ya going with that?" Zane asked, and everyone turned and just regarded him by the windowsill.

"You've been here the whole time?" Andy asked, amused.

"Yes, y'all were being extremely loud by the way." Zane scoffed.

"Want one?" Trey's lips titled as he waved the beer at Zane's face.

"No thanks." He declined.

That's when Angelic finally came into the room and sat by Andy.

"Morning." She beamed.

"Oh, you're in high spirits girl!" Andy said, pulling her into a tight hug. Andy was concerned for her friend. She wasn't taking the Lily being kidnapped again thing lightly.

"Yes, I guess I am. I'm very hopeful is all. Just cried a little." She blushed at admitting that. She fingered her red strips of hair and grinned. Andy returned the smile and gave her an understanding nod.

Zane caught a glimpse of Angelica staring at him, and he smirked and cursed his lips moving on their own. This action made Angelica blush and averted her eyes quickly.

She was caught looking.

Cherry sat by Angelica and was oddly silent.

"Alright, everyone here?" They all nodded at Blade. "Good, now listen up. We already checked these woods for any clues or tech left behind. Let us spread out further to look for more tech, and if we get lucky hope we stumble across a spaceship. If not, then..." His eyes fell on Nixon as he said, "We'll have to build it ourselves."

"Build it"?" Jax said, a shocked look on his face. He stood up from the seat by Andy and continued his rant. "Do you think we could do that? That's mad! I mean first off, we don't know anything about their freaky alien tech and secondly where the hell are we going to find that shit?"

"Pawnshop." Trey blurted, and everyone begin laughing.

"You're kidding?" Zane looked at Trey like he was a slow kid from special ed. "We need to relocate, and head to another state or country that has that shit. Like-

"We don't need to do that." Blade interrupted, clearing his throat. "I took- my father and I decided when researching these Oculos we need to study their tech, lucky for us I happened to own a spaceship. I technically stole it from the Oculos when I first encountered them and trapped them in the labs to, ya know conduct thorough research on them." He explained as everyone looked at him impressed.

"Now that's the Blade I'm talking about!" Andy shouted, happy faced. Nixon was on her right, fumbling with his hands in his lap. And he'd agreed with the idea.

"One question though?" Nixon spoke up, pushing his glasses up on the bridge of his nose. Blade nodded for him to ask away. "Does the spaceship function? Can it take flight?"

"Uh, not sure. That's a great question!" Blade complimented, grinning nervously.

"Okay, well let's hope we're not fucked then," Zane said, from the window. "What it's true!?"

"Yeah, I hope we won't be." Trey shook his head dramatically and shivered at the thought.

"Well, I have very important input what if Zane screws this plan up?" Jax asked.

Andy rolled her eyes. "Are you kidding me? Just shut up!"

"Rude much, it's a good question."

"No, it's not." She argued.

Zane looked surprised and laughed at it. "Yeah, me screwing this plan, I'll leave that to you tough guy."

"Okay, enough, take this serious!" Blade interjected.

...

The plan was to find the spaceship back at the old mansion where the lab was. Then they'd test it out. And before leaving earth they'd need spaceships.

Well, only if it was that easy.

What they didn't know about was the crazy amounts of  Ocuolos landing on earth. Soon the world would be full of them. And humans were imprisoned, experimented on, and used as means of breeding.

It was fucked up, the world was.

Lily sat at her soft bedside. David had it upgraded and apologized for the inconvenience of her discomfort. That pissed her off more than anything. He pretended to still care about her.

She wondered what her friends were doing at this very moment. What were they thinking about? Were they okay?

She misses them.
