"HONEY, THERE'S MAIL FOR you!" Karen shouted up the stairs.

Sam jumped up immediately off her bed and ran downstairs, stomping loudly. "Did it come??" She asked eagerly.

Karen smiled and handed Sam and letter, Sam snatched the letter quickly and ripped it open. "I'm scared." Sam looked at the open envelope. She wasn't just thinking about getting into college, but the opportunity to live in Washington, with Eddie.

"Just take your time, sweetie." Karen whispered. Sam took a deep breath and slipped out the letter and read it quietly.

Sam gasped, and looked up at her mom, "What? What is is honey?"

Sam's jaw was practically on the floor, she cleared her throat and read the letter aloud. "And we're happy to say, you've been accepted into the University Of Washington," Sam read to her mom.

Karen screamed and hugged Sam tightly. "Ted!!! TED." She yelled, still holding Sam. "Yes, what, what." Ted came down the stairs.

"She got accepted!"

"She what?? Hey, hey!! Hoe about that, huh? Congrats Samantha. We're so proud of you." Ted hugged Sam softly.

"Thank you, guys." Sam wiped her tears.

"Awe, baby, don't cry." Karen held Sam's head. "I'm just, I'm so happy." Sam cried into her mom's chest.

"Awe, we're happy too." Ted held both Karen and Sam. "What's going on down here? Is Sam okay?" Mike asked.

"I got accepted, Mike."

"Really? That's, great! That's really great, I'm happy for you Sammy," Mike smiled at Sam.

"I can't wait to tell Ed- Steve. I cant wait to tell Steve." Sam stuttered, Mike choked on his water and widened his eyes at Sam.

"In fact, I'm gonna go tell him right now." Sam kneeled down and started to put on her shoes.

"Go ahead honey!" Karen said. "Be home for supper."

"I will! Thank you mom. I love you guys!" Sam yelled closing the door and running to her car. This time, we was actually gonna go to Steve's house.

She opened the door to Steve's house, she had a key. "Hey, Samanthaaa." Stephanie said, holding a glass of wine, on the couch.

"Good. Erm, is Steve home?" She
held the letter behind her back tightly.

"Yeah, he's in his room." She said with a cigarette in between her lips. Sam ran up the stairs and barged into Steve's room. "Hey! Knock much?" Steve said sitting up in his bed.

"Look what came in today." Sam held up her letter. "No. No it didn't." Steve sat up quickly.

"It did!!" Sam jumped up and down.

"Let me see!" Steve took the letter. "No way, NO WAY! Oh my, god! I'm so happy for you Sam!" He sat up and hugged Sam.

"I know, I know. I'm happy too. But also a little bit sad." Sam said, and Steve let go.

"Wait, why? What's going on?" Steve asked sitting back on his bed, Sam sat down next to him.

"I just, I dunno. I'm gonna miss you guys so much. You know? Especially you and Robin, I don't know what I'll do without you guys."

"Awe, come on, Sammy. You'll be alright, you'll have Eddie, and me and Robin are just a call away. We can visit any time you want. And you'll make new friends at school."

"But I don't want new friends, I like the friends I have." Sam played with her fingers.

"Look, Sam. It's bound to happen whether we like it or not. We didn't chose to be friends, and look at us, inseparable."

"Our moms were best friends in high school, dingus. It was bound to happen." Sam sighed.

"Hey, look at me. Look at me Sam! You're doing what's best for you, and Eddie. He can't have a life here, and you couldn't either if you stayed. You deserve this, you deserve to get the hell out of here and spread your wings. Make music, Sam. You've always wanted to be a rockstar. So be one, in Washington." Steve held Sam's hands.

"You're right." Sam sniffled. "You're right."

"You know, I'm always right." He scoffed.

"Yeah, right." She laughed.

"Hey, do you hear that?" Sam asked looking out Steve's window.

"Is that?... Robin?" She said looking down at Robin climbing Steve's roof. "First of all, she could have just knocked, second of all, she's not coordinated at all how did she get up here." Steve watched Robin struggle.

Robin jumped at the sight of Sam's and Steve's face in the window. "Oh, right." Steve opened his window, helping Robin get in, she was lanky and tall so they struggled to get her legs in. "Robin, why didn't you come through the door like a normal person." Steve said helping her up. "I thought your parents didn't like me or something."

"Why?"

"I dunno."

Steve rolled his eyes and looked at Sam. "OH. Robin, look." Sam handed the letter to Robin.

"What's this?... HOLY SHIT. REALLY?" Robin jumped on the bed and tackled Sam for a hug. "You're going to college!" She yelled, and her voice cracked.

"Yeah, I am!" Sam cheered. "Wow," Robin sighed getting up, off Sam.

"They grow up so fast." Robin looked at Sam. "We're both older than you Robin." Sam laughed. "Right." She sighed.

"So, what are we gonna do to celebrate?" Steve clapped his hands and rubbed them together, looking at both Robin and Sam.

"I had something in mind." Sam raised her eyebrows. "LETS GO!" Sam got off Steve's bed and opened the door. "Where is she going?" Steve asked. "No idea, but let's go after he before she leaves us."

"Robin!" Stephanie yelled. "When'd you get here?" She asked. "Oh, I uh, I came in with Sammy actually." Robin made up.

"Really? I didn't see you, maybe it's because your so skinny and tall. Do you need some supper sweetheart?"

"Yeah, actually that sounds ni-"

"No, mom. Thank you, but Robin just ate." Steve pushed Robin out the door by her shoulders.

Sam was already in her car, her headlights blinded Steve and Robin as they walked out the door. "So, where are we going?" Steve asked getting in the front seat.

"You'll see." Sam stepped on the gas and pulled out quickly. "Can you not drive like a lunatic?" Steve gripped the bottom of his seat.

"Says you." She scoffed. "Steve can you grab my fake I.D." Sam said pointing at her glove compartment.

"Are you serious right now?.." Steve whispered. "YES. JUST HURRY UP." Sam brought out her hand.

"Okay, Jesus." Steve grabbed the card. "Regina Campbell? Really? It just sounds fake." Steve read the card.

"Do you want alcohol or not?" Sam sighed. "Okay! Okay, okay, I'm sorry, God." Steve mumbled as Sam pulled into the local liquor store and parked. "Be nice to each other while I'm gone." Sam said before closing her door.
