"PLEASE, JUST... COME TO MY game please." Lucas begged.
"Look, Lucas, the campaign is tonight, which by the way you haven't gone to since you joined the Jock Squad," Sam crossed her arms.
"Can you stop calling it that!? And c'mon. Mike and Dustin already aren't gonna be there. Please, just come! It'd give me some confidence and maybe a little comfort," he held the ticket in his hands, between Sam and him.
Sam grabbed it, his face lit up and he flashed a smile. "Wow Sinclair, I haven't seen you smile like that in a while," she smiled back at him. "Now I gotta think about what to say to Eddie." She sighed, putting the ticket in her back pocket.
"He'll be alright," Lucas said smirking.
"What's with the smirk?" Sam asked laughing,
"Nothing! Nothing, it's just, c'mon Sam..."
"WHAT?"
"You don't have to yell! It's just so obvious he has a thing for you!" Lucas whispered.
"He does not!" Sam replied.
"Uh, yah. He does and if you can't notice that, you need to get ya eyes checked." Lucas chuckled.
"Yeah, right..." Sam rolled her eyes at him.
"Why do you doubt yourself? Remind me again how long you've liked Munson?"
"Sophomore year," Sam mumbled.
"I'm sorry?" Lucas cupped his ear.
"Sophomore year," Sam said more clearly.
"Exactly my point. Now if you don't say something, or him. I will-"
"Lucas stop talking." Sam covered Lucas's mouth, he grunted and bit Sam's hand,
"Ew gross oh my God!" Sam shouted, Lucas's saliva got onto her hand, she wiped it back on his face, smearing it.
"You're disgusting," he looked down at Sam.
"Lucas. Behind you," Sam stared back, behind Lucas.
Lucas slowly turned back, trying not to seem obvious. "Speak of the Devil," Lucas said, watching Eddie walk past them both.
Eddie looked Sam up and down and smiled widely.
"See? Exactly what I'm talking about," Lucas sighed.
Sam looked over at Lucas with bright red cheeks. "Go, just go! You're wasting your time!" Lucas said dramatically.
Sam laughed while walking away, still facing him. Lucas winked and walked off.
"THE DEVIL HAS COME TO America. Dungeons and Dragons. At first reported as a harmless game of make-believe, now has both parents and psychologists concerned. Studies have linked violent behavior to the game, saying it promises satanic worship, ritual sacrifice, sodomy.. suicide! And evennn... MURDER!" Eddie narrated the new Newsweek Showdown magazine on Dungeons and Dragons.
