'I swear to god Taeyong I'm not in labour!' You squeezed his hand, causing him to wince, loudly.
'What on earth- your water just broke, all over the ground!' Taeyong exclaimed.
'No no I swear that was Junseo.' You tried your best to laugh it off, but every movement, made the painful twisting in your lower stomach intensify.
You looked up at the ceiling and shut your eyes, trying to feel just the tiniest sense of ease.
'You're okay, you are okay.' Taeyong mumbled, clasping your hand.
You opened your eyes and felt them glisten over.
'Taeyong I don't know if I can do this.' You looked deep into his eyes, 'I don't know if I can live a lie.'
'You aren't living a lie, Y/N. You are starting fresh. Okay?' Taeyong hugged you, trying not to move you too much.
He knew you'd freak out, so he dedicated the months he spent with you, to figuring out how to comfort and calm you down when you'd eventually have to push out another human.
He knew you wanted nothing to do with the baby. But he also knew you loved the baby.
'No no no Taeyong you don't get it- you don't get it.' You shook your head, your arms latched around him.
'I don't think I can live without Taehyung.' You muttered.
You felt Taeyong's shoulders suddenly go stiff at your words.
You never brought Taehyung up, despite the fact that he was on your mind at all times. You knew it made Taeyong uncomfortable and you felt as if he had already done so so much for you.
Taeyong knew you didn't bring Taehyung up, but he had hoped it was because Taehyung was slowly drifting apart from your thoughts. Unfortunately for Taeyong, that was not the case. He hoped it. But Taeyong wasn't an idiot, he knew it wasn't true.
Every night that you sneaked into Taeyong's room for comfort, you'd dream of Taehyung's warmth.
Taeyong didn't know what to say to you because he knew, at that moment, you were, yet again, dreaming for Taehyung's arms to be around you, not his own.
'You know that's not true, he wasn't the man that you thought he was.' Taeyong tried to put it softly.
'I love him, Taeyong'
Taeyong's heart never failed to break, every time you'd utter those words, internally and externally.
'I know you do.' Taeyong provided the warmth your husband repeatedly failed to give, 'I'm here for you, always. You know that even if he isn't here to say "I love you", I am.'
You squeezed him and felt the pain begin to wither away.
'I love you too, Taeyong.' You rubbed his back.
But Taeyong knew you never meant that in the same way he would say that to you. Despite that, he savoured those words, every single second of them.
'Oh its gone now!' You exclaimed, pulling away from Taeyong and getting up.
Your mood changed completely.
Taeyong managed to smile, his hand still joined with yours.
He knew no matter how hard he tried to resist, he'd still fall deeper and deeper for you.
'What will we do when you actually go into labour?' He sighed.
'Oh' You blew a raspberry, 'thats in ages Taeyong!'
