Chapter 20

"Don't tell Jaden," He said as he pulled away from the kiss.

"What the Hell are you thinking?" I said calmly.

"I know, I'm an idiot. It won't happen again, just don't tell Jaden. If he finds out that I just kissed you he'll hate me for the rest of the tour and it will ruin the entire tour. Evie, please," He begged.

I didn't know what to say. I knew keeping this from him was going to feel terrible, but Kells was right. If there was tension between Jaden and Colson then the tour was done for. I knew that couldn't happen. These concerts change lives and the energy can't change.

"Fine, we can keep this between us."

"It means a lot that you are going to keep this secret for me," He said with a slight smile.

"I'm not doing this for you," I shrugged. "I'm doing this for the little girl going to her first concert. I'm doing this for everyone who's life is going to be changed by you and Jaden. I'm not doing anything for you."

"Evie, I'm really sorry."

"Why did you do it? How could you do this to me?" I asked.

"I didn't mean to, I just got caught up in the moment."

"Next time, think things through. Now I have to pay for you being stupid! I have to go through the pain of being with Jaden every day knowing that I'm keeping secrets from him and that's on you," I walked back down the hall and went straight back to my room.

When I walked in Jaden was sitting on the bed strumming something on his guitar.

"Hey angel," He said with a smile that made me want to melt.

"Hey," I said as I sat down on the bed next to him.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Evie, I know when something wrong. Will you tell me please?"

"You have to promise me that you won't be mad."

"What's going on?"

"Jaden, just promise me."

"I promise," Jaden said. "What happened?"

"I went to Kells' room because I didn't want to stay in here alone and well-"

"Tell me you didn't sleep with him."

"What? Of course not."

"Okay, then why do you look so guilty?"

"He kissed me, Jaden. I didn't do anything but he asked me to keep it from you to make sure the tour's energy doesn't change, but I just can't keep things from you."

"He kissed you?" I could tell he was trying his absolute hardest not to get mad. "What the hell was he thinking?"

"Jaden, it's fine. It was just a peck, can we just pretend like it never happened? Please Jay."

"What's his room number?" Jaden asked me as he walked over to the door.

"Jaden stop! It doesn't matter, okay?"

"Evelyn Pierce I asked you a question. What's his room number?"

"635," I muttered under my breath.

"Thank you," He said as he ran over and placed a kiss on my lips. "I love you."

"I love you too," I said as Jaden practically ran out the door and down the hallway.

I quickly followed after him as he started heading towards Colson's room. I didn't know what was going through Jaden's head but I knew it wasn't going to end well.
