The whole car went silent. "Let's just pretend that I didn't ask that," My mom said, trying to change the topic. "I really like all of the tattoos, they really... make a statement."
Jaden was at a complete loss for words and I could tell. I already felt like my mom didn't like him. Well, maybe she liked him, but she definitely didn't like his lifestyle. "We're here," I said as I jumped out of the car. I was so glad that that awkward car ride was over.
"Hey, princess!" My dad said as he lifted me into a hug as soon as we walked into the house. I was definitely a daddy's girl. I was always his favorite child, no matter what Jemma says.
"Hey, dad!" I said as I broke away from the hug.
"Who's that?" He asked as he laid eyes on Jaden.
"I'm Jaden," Jaden said as he shook his hand. It was going to be really hard for him to win over my dad, but he was definitely off to a good start.
"Jaden Hossler?" My dad said as he looked over to me. I just nodded my head yes. "Doesn't Jaden Hossler have black hair? This kid is obviously blonde."
"It's hair dye," I said with a laugh. I already knew that my dad was against dying hair. The most mad I'd ever seen him was when I came home with my hair dyed jet black. Of course, I've dyed it multiple times since then and he has strongly disapproved every single time.
"So you're dating Evelyn?" My dad was trying to sound intimidating. I could tell that it was fake, but Jaden definitely couldn't.
"Yes sir," Jaden sounded confident, but I was the only one that knew he was terrified.
"I like the tattoos," My dad seemed really genuine, which came as a surprise to me. "What does that tattoo on the inside of your wrist mean?"
I knew for a fact that he was referencing my initials and Jaden obviously caught on. Instead of holding up the wrist with my initials on it, he held up his other wrist, the one with zero tattoos. My dad would go insane if he knew that my initials were on Jaden's body permanently.
"I meant your other wrist," Jaden hesitated before holding up his other wrist. "EBP. What does it stand for?" I could tell that he knew just based on the way he was eyeing Jaden. I just prayed that Jaden would admit to it because if he didn't my dad was going to think that he was a coward.
"Evelyn Brooke Pierce," Jaden blurted out.
"Well, I don't like that you have my daughters initials on you permanently, but at least you have guts," My dad said as we started walking into the house. I was actually surprised at how well he handled that. "Hey Evelyn?"
"Yeah, dad?" I responded.
"I can see those hickeys," My face went blank. It was one thing when my mom was criticizing me, but my dad was a whole other thing.
"Dad, I'm sorry. We were just kissing, I-" But then he stopped me.
"Evelyn, I'm not mad, You are 19, you can do what you want."
"I'm glad you feel that way because I actually have something to tell you," I said as I worked up the nerve to tell them I was pregnant. "You might want to sit down."
"What is it?" My mom asked from behind me.
"I'm-" I was interrupted when Jemma started running down the stairs.
"Is Jaden here?!" She yelled as she ran into the kitchen with us and wrapped her arms around Jaden's neck.
"Jemma! I said five feet!" She just ignored me, as always.
"Hey rockstar," She said in the most seductive voice possible.
Short chapter, but whatever! Vote and comment for me :)
