Chapter 4

We got to the stadium and it was mostly empty except for a few people setting up for the show. "This is insane," I said to Jaden.

I could tell that he was super excited to perform tonight, but I felt like I just wasn't prepared. I was listening to 27 the whole car ride here and I think I got the lyrics down, but making sure that it sounds good is a whole other problem.

We went backstage and started doing a bunch of vocal warmups. I had no idea that I could sing, but according to everyone else I was really good. I'm still questioning my vocal abilities, but I decided to just trust what everyone was saying since there was no quitting now.

A few hours later, the stadium started to fill up with thousands of people and I could feel my nerves going up. Jaden was so excited that he was practically jumping around. It was finally time for Jaden to go on stage and I was actually really excited to see him perform.

They finished hooking him up to a bunch of different things and they told him that he has a minute before he goes on. "You're going to do great," I told him as I placed a kiss on his lips. "Just go out there and have fun."

"I love you," He smiled.

My stomach filled with butterflies and I couldn't help but smile back, "I love you too."

He walked up the stairs to the stage and the crowd immediately started going crazy. I was genuinely proud of him because he was actually fulfilling his dreams. It made me so happy to see him doing what he loved.

He went through multiple songs and it was so incredible to watch. I strongly believe that Jaden is an amazing performer. His energy is just insane to watch.

Everything was going great, but then he started saying something that I definitely did not expect. "Now I'm going to sing you a song from my deluxe album. Nobody has heard it yet, so I hope that you guys like it. This next song is called Crack My Skull and it's about my wonderful girlfriend and the love of my life," He said as he made eye contact with me, which made me smile. "Please welcome to the stage Evelyn Pierce!" What did he just say? All of a sudden I was walking onto the stage and the crowd was going crazy.

I didn't take my eyes off of Jaden once because I was too afraid to see how many people were actually staring at me. I was so confused as to why he would want to bring me onto the stage.

I walked over to him and just whispered into his ear, "What are you doing?"

Without responding he placed a soft kiss on my lips which made the crowd erupt with cheers. "Alright, you can go back now."

"That was all you needed me for?" I laughed.

"Yeah, it's a nice little energy boost," He smiled as I walked back off the stage. The crowd sounded almost disappointed to see me leave. "Don't worry! She'll be back later."

I totally forgot about later! I was so busy watching Jaden that my thoughts about actually performing totally left my head.

Jaden started singing the song and it was amazing. It made it even better that it was about me. I knew for a fact that that was going to be the only song I listened to as soon as it came out.

Jaden finished his set and there was about ten minutes before Kels was going to start his performance. Jaden grabbed my hand and took me down to an area right in front of the stage. There were plenty of barriers between us and the crowd, so we had lots of space.

"I'm really proud of you, Jaden," I said as I stared into his perfect blue eyes. He pulled me into a warm hug that made me feel all fuzzy inside.

"Thanks angel," Jaden had never called me angel before and I actually liked it. I looked up at him and placed a soft kiss on his lips. I knew for a fact that there were plenty of cameras on us, but I didn't care. I was going to savor this moment for as long as I wanted to.
