Taylor's journey had officially begun when she had gone to a wizard shopping place, called Diagon Alley. She got a Snowy Owl and called it Storm; she also got robes, a pointed hat, gloves, a cloak, magic books, phials, a telescope, scales, a cauldron and a wand. Her wand was 13 3/4 inches, made of Cedar wood, a core of Phoenix Feather and it was surprisingly swishy. The day came when she had to leave for Hogwarts. Her mum and her sister drove her down to Kings Cross Station, now comes the tricky part, finding a thing called platform 9 3/4 where the train to Hogwarts is.

They walked until they found platform 9, but straight after that was platform 10, there didn't seem to be any platform 9 ¾.

Taylor saw a boy with a trolley full of things similar to hers run past her straight into the wall of platform 10.

She gasped, the boy had disappeared.

She saw a girl follow the boy; she ran into the wall and disappeared too.

Taylor started to push her trolley in the direction of the wall, her sister and mum following beside her.

She started running, her feet pounding on the ground; she came up to the barrier and pushed through it. Going through it felt like going through a veil.

She came out on the other side to find a sign reading platform 9 3/4 and a scarlet steam engine. People were everywhere, some already in their Hogwarts uniform.

She pushed her trolley through the throng of people hoping to get a good compartment on the train. She got to the front of the train and started loading her heavy trunk on to the train. Despite its weight she managed to get it on the train.

She climbed up after her trunk and went to find a compartment. Most of the compartments were still empty so she settled her stuff in one of the centre carriages. She went to go and say goodbye to her family.

"Taylor, I'm going to miss you so much," her sister almost cried as Taylor reached her, tears were in her older sisters eyes and she had gone pale,

"Don't worry, Shannon, I'll be home before you know it," Taylor replied, she gave her sister and mum a hug,

"Are you going to wait on the train now?"  Her mother asked her,

"Yes, I'll wave out the window though." Taylor said and her mother gave her a reassuring smile.

"Bye," her mum and Shannon said to her and gave her another hug,

"Bye." Taylor replied and turned to go back onto the train.

As she turned around she knew that Hogwarts might be a good experience, but home will always be where her heart is. With her mum, sister and brother – who she hasn't actually spoken to in a week – but what more could she want?

Laura had gotten to platform 9 3/4 like it was the simplest thing ever. She saw all the muggleborns and how confused they were so she helped a couple, there was no harm in helping others.

She had already said goodbye to her family and she was now boarding the train.

Around half of the compartments were empty. She was going to get when by herself when she saw a girl sitting alone in a compartment, staring out of the window. Laura slid open the door and the girls head perked up.

"Do you mind if I sit here? You look kind of lonely," Laura asked, maybe a bit too rudely, because the girl gave her an annoyed look,

"I'm not lonely, not at home anyway." she replied, she glanced out the window again.

At first most muggleborns are really excited about Hogwarts, but some, after realising what they had to give up to come here, become quite weary.

"You're afraid you're not going to fit in?" Laura asked the girl, she didn't leave the compartment, even after the girl looked angry,
