Laura was walking to the great hall for breakfast with Eden. They weren't talking to each other, they had just been arguing about where to sit. Suddenly Eden opened her mouth to speak.

"I don't want to sit with the Slytherins." Laura argued before she could speak.

"Why not?" Eden questioned,

"All your friends in Slytherin are the people who hate muggleborns!" Laura exclaimed.

"So? You're a pureblood, what's the issue?" Eden asked,

"Our friends are muggleborns!" Laura said exasperated.

"That doesn't matter, it's not like they're being mean to us." Eden said.

"But they're being mean to our friends, which is being mean to us!" Laura almost yelled as they walked into the great hall. All Eden did was roll her eyes in response, before Draco Malfoy called her over to their table.

Laura looked to the Gryffindor table to see Taylor and Aneesha talking to an older boy. She was curious about who he was so she walked over and awkwardly stood there until someone noticed her.

"Hey, Laura!" Taylor greeted, Aneesha and the boy looked up.

"Hi." Aneesha smiled.

"This is Oliver, he's captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team." Taylor introduced the boy to Laura; she thought that he was very good looking.

"Hi." He grinned, speaking in his adorable accent.

"He was telling us about Quidditch!" Aneesha exclaimed.

"I think these two could to well once they're older, do you like Quidditch?" He asked Laura,

"I love it." Laura replied happily.

"You should try out for your house team once you're older." He said, noticing Laura's Slytherin robes.

"I will." She smiled.

"Take a seat." Taylor said. Laura sat down next to Oliver; he continued to explain Quidditch to the others.

"So I told you about the chasers who handle the quaffle, the keeper – that's me – who defends the hoops, and the seeker who catches the snitch, but there's one other position," Oliver said, the girls could see the excitement in his eyes as he explained his favourite sport.

"The beaters." Laura finished, Oliver gave her a smile that made her feel like a lucky girl,

"That's right," he looked at Taylor and Aneesha, "the beaters take care of the bludgers. There are two beaters per team."

He had already told the girls about the different balls used in Quidditch.

"Who are the Gryffindor beaters?" Taylor asked Oliver, he pointed down the Gryffindor table to two red heads,

"Fred and George, bloody brilliant beaters." Oliver said. The twins noticed Oliver pointing at them and gave a grin and a wave back. When Aneesha saw them she gave a squeak, making everyone laugh. One of the twins gave her a wink and then turned back to talk to his brother.

"Guys, stop laughing," Aneesha mumbled.

"I'm guessing someone has a little crush?" Oliver conjectured, Aneesha mumbled inaudibly in response,

"I think what she meant to say was, 'yes'," Taylor said, Aneesha glared at her,

"I think it's time for us to go to potions." Laura quickly expressed, the girls said goodbye to Oliver and walked to potions.

When they arrived Laura noticed Eden sharing with Draco instead of her, even though Laura and Eden usually went together. Laura didn't like Draco, he seemed very sly. She took a seat beside Pansy Parkinson, who she found very annoying. They made their potion, with Pansy almost completely stuffing it up; luckily Laura was able to fix it. She looked over and saw Taylor and the Gryffindor's getting told off by Snape, she felt so sorry for them.

"That was a terrible lesson," Gillian complained after they had left the dungeons,

"At least you guys didn't have to share with Pansy!" Laura whined,

"I can't believe Eden sat with Draco instead of you!" Taylor exclaimed, Laura sighed, she couldn't believe it either.

"I feel like punching that git," Laura growled,

"Eden or Draco?" Aneesha asked, a smirk on her face,

"Draco," Laura laughed, "Eden may be annoying me but she doesn't deserve a punch...yet,"

"I'll punch him for you!" Taylor exclaimed, Laura loved the support she was getting from he friends,

"Yeah, same!" Aneesha added, Laura laughed,

"Sorry, Aneesha, but I don't think your punches will do much to him, you're too tiny," Laura saw Aneesha give her a half-hearted glare,

"Yeah, you couldn't break his pretty little face," Gillian said, Taylor raised her eyebrows at Gillian,

"Pretty? That guy is evil." She said,

"He's cute, but evil." Keira said,

"He's very cute, but very evil." Gillian corrected. They laughed and continued on to their next class.

Laura was glad that her friends were supporting her; it was difficult for her to be in Slytherin and to be rejected by someone who chooses Draco Malfoy over you.
