Ella had recently found out what happened between Harry Potter and Professor Quirrell in the dungeons. Catherine kept going on about how brave Harry was, and he really was brave. Ella and her friends brought him some chocolate frogs, and Taylor told her that the Weasley twins tried to send him a toilet seat. Ella and her friends had been upset that Aneesha and Keira had left, they all missed them. Ella sent them an owl telling them about the last Quidditch match that they missed, Ravenclaw completely smashed Gryffindor (which they weren't happy about at all). One night, as Ella walked into the great hall for the end of year feast it was a dreadful sight. The Slytherin colours and banners were hung all around and the Slytherins sat looking smug.
"Look at those sly people over there; just because they won a house cup they think they're better than all of us!" Anna exclaimed,
"We tried our best and put in our greatest effort, we couldn't do much more than that." Ella said. They took their seats at the Ravenclaw table beside Catherine, after a few minutes of talking she seemed to go even more quiet than usual. Ella turned to see what she was staring at and saw Harry, he was back.
"He's so brave." Catherine said dreamily. Professor Dumbledore started talking, and then he was talking about the house cup. Slytherin won, Gryffindor came fourth, Hufflepuff came third and Ravenclaw came fourth with four hundred and twenty-six points. The Slytherin table erupted with cheers, the rest of the houses were not very cheerful. Professor Dumbledore said something about "A few last-minute points to dish out." He went on to give Ron Weasley fifty points "for the best-played game of chess Hogwarts has seen in many years", that must have been referring to the events that unfolded with Harry and You-Know-Who. He then gave fifty points to Hermione Granger "for the use of cool logic in the face of fire"; again he must be referring to the same events as Ron. He gave sixty points to Harry Potter "for pure nerve and outstanding courage." Catherine was grinning so wide even though none of those people were in her house.
"They are on a tie with Slytherin!" Anna exclaimed, doing the maths in her head,
When Dumbledore had gotten the room silent again, he gave ten points to Neville Longbottom because "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends".
The Gryffindor table couldn't have been any louder, they won the house cup! Professor Dumbledore changed the hangings around the hall to scarlet and gold with the lion symbol. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw were also very excited, they were all glad that Slytherin hadn't won.

The first years had gotten their exam results back, most of Ella's friends did very well, and a few of them did alright. When it came to exams Ella got quite nervous, but she ended up getting good scores so that made her happy.
They had received a note saying that they are not allowed to use magic over the holidays, Ella will miss doing magic. Her mum will be shocked to have her home. They went on the boats that took them across the lake, Ella went in one with Laura and Mackenzie, she would miss all of her friends so much, but she will get to spend time with Anna. When they were on the Hogwarts express they went into a carriage and managed to fit all of them in it. Ella asked Mackenzie if she was going back to France, she sadly was, Ella was hoping she could move closer to all of the others. All of the girls live in England except for Aneesha and Mackenzie. Ella had recently got a letter from her mum saying that Ella and herself would be moving in with Anna's family. They would be buying a house in London, Ella's dad lives in London but she currently lived with her mum in Cheshire. Laura lived in London so they would hopefully see her over the holidays, but Taylor lived in Manchester and Eden lived in Liverpool.
Once they were off the train and through the platform and the "wall" Anna and Ella said goodbye to their friends and then Ella looked for her mum. She found her chatting with Anna's family, once they saw Anna and Ella they got so happy to see them and asked so many questions about school, being muggles they were quite amazed with everything. Their parents had already packed all their things and they were going to see their house for the first time ever two days later. Ella was very excited to be living with Anna; she was such an amazing friend.
