It was a bit of a story to explain how Elle ended up kneeling in front of a bathtub with her wrists zip tied and a gag in her mouth and a line of people on both sides of her, all of them being adult men except for her. Not to mention the two other men that were working their way down the line knocking them out with a baseball bat and slitting their throats.

It must have been only ten minutes prior when the entire group had executed Elle's plan and created a variety of weapons from wood, belts, and anything they could find. Then another one of Elle's plans failed because they dropped a smoke bomb inside the train car and chaos erupted.

After that Elle could only remember bits and pieces of what happened. Daryl holding on to her, someone trying to pull them apart and failing, getting her head knocked into the ground, and then ending up where she was now.

She was stationed in between Rick and Daryl, attempting to break out of her zip tie no matter how useless her attempts may have been. It was the sight of Gareth that made her blood boil and gave her enough anger to loosen it just a bit.

What one could only assume was a string of curse words left Elle's mouth but it was muffled by the cloth stuffed between her teeth.

Gareth paid no mind to her, only asking the men behind them what their shot count was. That was his mistake because it only fueled her anger and she was able to loosen her zip tie even more.

The bat had made it through four strangers who had accompanied them and was raised to connect with Glenn's head. Muffled protests fell from Elle's lips but that was not what stopped the bat, it was one of the men not knowing their shot count.

Elle clenched her jaw around the gag in her mouth so she didn't cry out in pain. She was trying her best to pull her hands out of the zip tie but it was leaving cuts that would undoubtedly scar.

She was so preoccupied with the zip tie and her bloody hands that she was immune to Bob trying to persuade Gareth to let them go. Only when the tip of a knife was directly in front of her right eye did she divert her attention.

What was with adult men and using a teenage girl as their hostage?

"What was in it? I'm curious," Gareth said, directing the question at Rick. "And it was a big bag."

Ah, so he knew about that.

"What does it matter to you?" Elle said, Gareth taking her gag out so he didn't have to listen to her muffled yells. "You're going to kill us anyway."

Gareth was amused, giving her one of the fakest smiles she had ever seen. He had almost forgot he was supposed to be talking to Rick.

"It doesn't. But I don't like surprises."
