Haseena directly headed to her room, changed her uniform and lied down on the couch. In no time, slumber took over her and she slept there only.
There was a lot of hustle n bustle in the house when the family returned from the shopping. As Haseena had invited Pushpa Ji and cheetosh too for a stay so that they could leave together the next day for the picnic, so they too arrived after some time. They thought that, till now Karishma would've got a huge amount of scoldings from her SHO for her carelessness but the environment was completely different. Both, Mallik's and Singh's were quite excited for tomorrow and Karishma was showing the things she'd bought to the grandmother as she was home alone. After exchanging the greetings, Santosh and Pushpa ji tried to talk with Karishma about today's happening.
"Karishma Madam, aapse baat karni thi ek minute," Santosh said.
"Haan bolo na Santu, kya bolna hai?" Karishma said.
"Ek minute, idhar aaiye" Pushpa ji and Santosh dragged her to a corner while cheetah gets busy in talking with Haseena's brother.
"Kya hua Santu, Pushpa Ji? Jaldi boliye na..." Karishma said in hurry.
Pushpa ji was going to explain everything to Karishma just when she got a call. The I'd shows it was DSP. "Ek minute Pushpa ji," she excused herself and picked up the call.
"Jai Hind sir!"
"Jai Hind, Karishma Singh, kaisi hain aap?" He asked. Karishma expression changed into confused one as she asked what he was talking about, "hum ek dum chaukas hain sir...humko ka hoga?"
"Hum sab jaante hain, Karishma Singh," he said, "Miss. Mallik ne bataya hai humein ki aapki tabiyat thik nahi hai varna aap itni important meeting thodi na miss karti,"
Karishma looked at her phone in shock. Shit! She had forgotten an important meeting.
"Take care, miss Mallik aap ko case ki details samjha dengi" The call disconnected and Karishma was looking at Pushpa ji and Santosh with scared and worried face.
"Hum...itni important meeting kaise...bhool sakte hain" she mumbled in guilt.
Upon seeing the tension between the three, everybody started asking for the reason and upon getting it, Haseena's family started to console Karishma whereas Karishma's parents started to scold her badly for her carelessness.
"Maddam sir, aa gayin?" She asked in between..
"Thaane se toh kab ki nikal gayin thi" Cheetah answered, thoughtfully.
"Arey vo tum logon ke aane ke kuch waqt pehle aayi thi, pareshan thi, kuch boli nahi aur seedha apne room mein gayi hai" Haseena's grandmother told.
"Karishma Madam toh gayin!" Santosh exclaimed.
"Are nai nai, Isshhhh, pyaar se mana lijiye ga unhe, vo toh vaise bhi aapke peeche paagal hain" Pushpa ji said.
"Aur kya, usko manana bahot asaan kaam hai" Haseena's brother said.
"Aur agar nahi maane, aur jhagda badh jaaye toh seedha mere paas aa jaana... Dono mil kar dukh baantenge" Haseena's sister in law put forward her proposal and karishma smacked her forehead.
"Dekhte hain, hum, jaa kar, aap log pareshan mat hoiye" Karishma said as she headed upstairs, worried and frightened to face Haseena.
She slowly twisted the door knob and as she barged inside, she found Haseena sleeping on the couch. "Gusse mein pakka inhone dinner nai kia hoga" Karishma thought as she moved towards Haseena and patted on her arm to wake her up.
But her eyes fell on a slip, stuck on the armrest of the couch. She bends a little to read it, "Dinner kar ke aaye hain, apna keemti waqt zaaya mat kijiye ga hum par"
