It was around four am when Simon staggered into his and Wilhelm's shared dorm room, clearly very drunk.

Wilhelm's head shot up from his pillow immediately. He had been waiting for hours for Simon to come.

"What the f*ck, Simon?!" Wilhelm practically yelled. "It's four f*cking am!"

"I was just having some fuuuuuunn, Wille. You should try it sometime," Simon slurred with a lazy giggle.

"How much did you have to drink?!" Wilhelm asked frantically. Simon never drank alcohol because of his father's addiction, so this was understandably very concerning.

"Just a little bit... chilaxxxx," Simon said, emphasizing the last word.

"You don't drink Simon! You're better than this! What the f*ck were you thinking?" Wilhelm jumped out of the bed and grabbed Simon shoulder, holding him upright.

"Get off me, Wille. I can walk," Simon said, but as he did so, he tripped on his own feet and began to fall back.

Wilhelm caught him by the waist and sighed. "Let's get you to sleep."

Simon didn't respond, seemingly admitting defeat.

Wilhelm helped Simon into the small bed and pulled the covers over the boy.

Wilhelm couldn't help but smile at him, despite Simon's stupidity. That boy had some magical effect on him that couldn't be remedied.

Wilhelm, in a sudden stroke of bravery, bent over Simon and kissed just below the ends of his messy mop of curly hair.

Simon closed his eyes at Wilhelm's lips.

Suddenly, Wilhelm was being pulled downwards by Simon until he was laying next to the drunken boy.

Wilhelm wrapped his arms around Simon tightly, as if afraid to let go.

He inhaled Simon's addictive smell of flowery shampoo and now traces of alcohol.

Everything felt at peace.

Deep down, Wilhelm knew that Simon would have never let them sleep in the same bed if he was sober. After all, both boys had grown accustomed to alternating using the floor. It was quite comfortable to them now.

But somehow, Wilhelm pushed these thoughts out of his head and enjoyed the magical moments he could share with Simon now.

-

Simon woke up with an earth shattering headache.

He also woke up in Wilhelm's arms.

Simon didn't remember much of last night- just that he drank a lot and cuddled with Wilhelm.

Surprisingly, Simon didn't regret his night with the blonde boy. It was the closest to paradise he has ever experienced.

In a rush, Simon leaped out of the bed, waking Wilhelm, as a wave of intense nausea washed over him.

He ran into the bathroom and puked his guts out rather loudly.

Wilhelm clambered out of the now shared bed sleepily.

"Are you okay?" he mumbled in a raspy morning voice.

Simon couldn't respond because another wave of vomit worked its way into the toilet.

Wilhelm sighed, knowing what was happening.

He walked over to the weak and awful feeling Simon and bent down, pushing Simon's hair out of his face.

Despite the disgusting smell and sight, Wilhelm stayed by Simon for the next hour or so, whispering sweet words in his ears and holding the mane of curls away from Simon's mouth.

Wilhelm didn't know it, but Simon was eternally grateful for these kind actions. They made his heart swell until he almost forgot that he was puking out the contents of his stomach.

Eventually, the vomit turned into dry heaving which turned into nothing.

Simon leaned against the edge of the toilet, panting and weak.

Wilhelm flushed it and then began to rub circles on Simon's back.

"It's okay," Wilhelm whispered in Simon's ear. "You aren't used to drinking this much. It's normal."

Simon moved his face closer to Wilhelm as the blonde boy spoke, causing Wilhelm's lips to gently brush against the side of Simon's face, making both boys to blush and sigh in pure bliss.

The moment was broken by Wilhelm who said:

"Why don't you sleep a little longer? You need to rest."

Simon nodded and hummed in reply. He agreed wholeheartedly with this plan, but he didn't want Wilhelm to leave.

As Wilhelm helped Simon stand up, Simon asked:

"Can you skip class? To stay with me?"

Wilhelm looked at the boy curiously. Simon hadn't expressed any particular desire to spend time with Wilhelm in quite a while.

Nevertheless, Wilhelm replied, "Of course."

Suddenly, Wilhelm swept Simon off his feet and into Wilhelm's arms.

Despite feeling disgusting from head to toe, Simon couldn't help but let out a small giggle.

Wilhelm smiled from ear to ear at the adorable, curly haired boy nuzzled into his chest.

-

Wilhelm placed Simon gently on the bed, as if Simon was something breakable.

'God, he's beautiful,' Wilhelm secretly thought to himself.

As if reading his mind, Simon said something that Wilhelm would never ever forget:

"You are so beautiful, Wilhelm. You're beautiful from the outside in. Everything you do for me is so overly sweet. The way you treat people is astonishingly thoughtful. You are beautiful even though you may not think it. You're just perfect, and I don't deserve someone so wonderful in my life. I only wish that you could try to put me first sometimes and just be with me."

Simon paused, out of breath from his long poem of sentences.

Each line coming from Simon's mouth both broke and healed Wilhelm's ever so fragile heart. The words no longer flowing out of the curly haired boy echoed around the room, hanging over Wilhelm's head like some otherworldly ghost.

A tear slipped down Wilhelm's cheek but he quickly pushed it away. He so wanted to believe Simon's words, but:

"You're over tired, Simme," Wilhelm wrenched Simon out of the moment.

"No, I-"

"Sleep," Wilhelm commanded firmly.

With that, Simon's eyes slipped closed into an uneasy slumber.

And Wilhelm grabbed the peaceful boy's hand, not letting go until Simon woke up hours later.

Author's Note:

For anyone that had to skip this chapter due to emetophobia, here is a short summary: Simon is very drunk, Wilhelm and Simon sleep in the same bed, Wilhelm helps Simon feel better when Simon feels sick, and Simon calls Wilhelm beautiful.

Long chapter everyone!! This took me FOREVER to write. Hopefully it was enjoyable.

So this is happy I think. And don't worry. It's only the tip of the iceberg. More happy will come :))
