October 28, 2021:
We have our first doctor appointment today to verify the pregnancy and find out any dangers there may be with my age.
I am nervous because well I am forty-six years old and we are pregnant. Jordan is acting like everything is fine but I know he doesn't want another baby this late in life at our age. We have been planning for years for our empty nest.
Jordan walks into the room and watches his wife who is just staring out the window of their suburban home. He knows she thinks he's not happy about the baby but the fact is he really is happy and excited.
He is really hoping for a girl that looks just like the love of his life. His dimples her hair, their eye color, and she will be perfect. Both of their boys were perfect as well he loved seeing mixed features of him and Crystal in Dante and Eric.
Yes, he is old and they weren't planning for another baby but they would love it just as much maybe even more because he felt this baby was a gift from god.
He quietly walked over to the bay window where Crystal was sitting and sat down beside her. He wrapped his arms around her shoulder and pulled her onto his chest.
"Hey, baby are you okay?"
Crystal finally snapped back and realized Jordan was holding her, "Yes, I'm fine dear. Just thinking about our life and our plans to travel before we got knocked up and all those plans went up in flames."
"Baby, our plans aren't finished just because we are pregnant. You and I are still going to travel, you are still going to go on tour with us next year, nothing has changed except for the fact we have a new baby on the way."
"Jordan, what are we going to do if the doctor says this pregnancy is dangerous at my age?"
"Then we will discuss our options. Look you come first, you always have, and you always will. We have two sons that need you and I need you. Let's hope and pray that this baby is fine but if not you have to be. I can't live this life without you, you are the love of my life, so please think about me and our two sons that need you."
Crystal turned to face Jordan, she placed her hand on his cheek, "I will always do what is best for us. Jordan I know we have two sons and I don't plan on doing anything that would take me from them or you. I love you Jordan, you are the love of my life, you are my best friend, you are my everything." She leaned forward and rested her forehead on his.
Jordan memorized this moment in his mind, her words, her face, and her smell. This was a very intimate moment between husband and wife.
Eric walked into the living room and saw his parents with their heads resting together just enjoying the moment. He snapped a photo and smiled. He quietly walked backward out of the room to let them have their time. These were the moments he knew they were lucky to have grown up with parents like his.
When his dad was touring his mom was so good with them. She made up for the fact that their dad was gone. She would often fly them out every Friday to whatever city dad was in. We thought it was awesome to take so many trips.
A lot of our summers were spent on the busses traveling with dad and the band. Sometimes it was crazy to see women and girls walking around with shirts with our dad's face on them or our uncle's faces.
The noise level was crazy and people would even ask us for pictures with them. That was weird so we started just staying out of the light. I mean we aren't Jordan we are just his sons. We couldn't figure out why they wanted pictures with us.
Grandma would tell us just to take the photo and smile. Their fans were so great and some made several shows a year, some would travel many miles to see them, and some save up all year long to see our boys. So just take the picture with them and make their night special.
