Chapter 19: Holidays

So, it is time for our Christmas party. Jordan always dresses up last year he dressed up as an Elf and this year he is dressed in a Santa suit thing. 

As I am making sure everything is in order I realize we don't have enough ice. I sweetly walk up to my handsome husband and give him my puppy dog eyes.

"Uh oh, what do you need me to do, baby?"

"How do you know I need you to do something?" 

"Um, well because that's the only time you give me that look with those puppy eyes. So, what do you need me to do, dear?"

Crystal smiled and leaned up and kissed him, "you do know me so well. We are going to need a few more bags of ice. Is there any way you can run to the store to grab three or four bags?"

"Of course, I can do that. You have been cooking and baking for two days straight. You didn't need to pull those puppy eyes because you need more ice. I will run right now and be back in a few minutes. Is there anything else we need?"

"You are so sweet Jordan, that is why I love you so much. You should have enough time to get dressed before everyone arrives." I leaned up and kissed him as he grabbed his keys. 

"I don't need to get dressed because I am just going to wear this to the store. I will help you put the ice where it needs to go when I return."

"You are really going to wear that to the store? Okay, normally you try to blend in and that is going to stand out. Stay safe call if you need backup when people realize who you are."

"I will be fine, babe. I know I just don't see any sense in changing than having to get dressed again. I love you and I will be right back."

"I love you, My handsome husband." She stood there and smiled as he walked out to his car and backed out of the driveway.

They had been married for so many years now they knew everything about each other and he could still make her heart flutter. 

She went into the kitchen and finished setting everything up.  She pulled out the big cooler and set the three bowls out the ice would need to go in when he returned to keep the food cold. Someone knocked on the door and Dante went to answer the door. 

Jon and Harley walked in with Danny, Chance, and Andi. They all high-fived and hugged Dante and Eric. They all walked over and gave me a hug. 

"Where's J?"

"He ran to the store to get more ice. We are expecting a decent turnout tonight so I want to make sure we have plenty of ice."

"This looks amazing, Crystal. I bet Jordan has been eating since you started cooking. I am so glad we were able to fly in for the party," Danny stated as he smiled while hugging her.

"Yes, he has. I even had to hide some of the food from him otherwise he would have eaten it all and then had to work so hard to work off the holiday weight. Are you ready for rehearsals in a couple of weeks?"  

"Yep, four weeks in Los Angeles. I am sure you and J are planning some fun things to do together. You know Crystal I am really happy you two met. We have all witnessed the romance from the beginning. The Crystal and Jordan love story. Seriously tho you have made our boy really happy. He loves you and these two boys more than anything."

"Well, we love him more than anything. He is my entire world, I don't even know where I would be today if I hadn't met him all those years ago."

"Neither does he, trust me he is better with you. That's why when he told us about those mean messages putting you down. We all got upset because we understand the fans are jealous but he loves you and you love him. You are family and that is why we will always have your back. Plus you gave us our two handsome nephews."
