Chapter 54: Our life is full of joy

July 2023:

Jordan and I are sitting in the yard on our porch swing. When he looks at me, "thank you, Crystal."

"I put the bookmark in my book and close it, "for what, baby?"

"For loving me and for giving me this amazing life."

"Oh, babe you have that backward it's me who owes you the thank you. I mean your career has provided us with a remarkable life. We have never had to worry or struggle. We have a beautiful home, and our kids were able to go to the best schools and colleges. Jordan, you have provided me with so much love, more than I ever knew was possible from not only my lover but my best friend."

"Crystal, my love, my wife you provided me with an amazing life because you gave me your love. I am talking about the life we have had not the material things. You gave me two of the greatest gifts our sons. They made my life full or at least I thought they did until they gave me two grandchildren and now my life is so full of joy, and for that, I want to thank you."

"Oh, Jordan you are welcome but thank you as well because I feel the same way. I mean if we had never met and I had married someone else and had kids with them those kids wouldn't be our kids. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. You gave me our children they are the best parts of you and me mixed together into one perfect human or actually two."

"Sometimes Jordan I am so afraid that this has all been a dream and I am still that young fifteen-year-old girl and I am going to wake up and this will all be over. Every morning when I open my eyes and I am in your arms I thank god," She looked down. 

Jordan placed his hand on her cheek and lifted her eyes up to meet his. "It's not a dream, babe. I fell in love with you, I married you, we had two sons, and now we have two grandchildren, and this amazing life is real. I am real and you are real and our life together is real. I love you so much, Crystal." He leaned in and kissed her a slow passionate kiss.

"I love you so much, Jordan." They sat there on the swing cuddled together until the sun started going down.

Jordan had decided to order them Chinese takeout and have it delivered. They had a great talk today that left them both so full of Joy and love. 

Their grandbabies were growing up so quickly. Nate was three months old. He was babbling and smiling. Starla was two months old and she loved when her papa J would sing to her she has Jordan's smile and dimples. 

They keep her while Eric and Selena are at school. Sometimes Sarah will come over while Starla is here just to hang out with us while Dante is at work. 

They are great parents they are good with their kids and have adjusted to parenthood really well. I know in the coming years our family will grow more but for right now we are happy with our two grandchildren who have brought so much love and joy into our lives. 

Selena and Eric have a week break coming up and Jordan and I are going to Miami to visit Danny. Jordan has made several trips to visit him for a few days here and there. We spent a week in LA with Joey and Barrett, we spent a week in St. Charles with Donnie and Jenny, and now we are going to spend a week with Danny. 

Life is good and we couldn't be happier with our life we are so blessed and thank god every day for bringing us together.

Three days later:

We arrived at the airport and checked our suitcase in. We went through security and then made our way to our gate. Once we boarded the plane we were seated in first class we sat there cuddled up together talking. 

A flight attendant walks over, "hello, um I am a huge fan. Is there a chance I can get a selfie with you Jordan?" 

Jordan smiles, "yea sure." He stands up and smiles for the picture with her. 

"Thank you so much, and Crystal can I also get one with you? If it's not too much trouble I would love to get one with all three of us. I love your love story and I hope to one day find my soulmate. you should write a book about what it's like being married to a pop star and about your life together. I think it would be a best seller.

"Thank you for saying that it really means a lot to me. Jordan is definitely my soulmate and I couldn't even imagine life without him. That would be good if I had the time but we are new grandparents to not one but two grandchildren and right now we are just focused on enjoying our time with them." They took the photos and she walked away after hugging them both.

"You know, babe she isn't the first fan to ask about a book about our lives together. You could even include Jenny, Barrett, and Harley's input. I know our fanbase would love an inside look into the lives of the New Kids. You will have to omit the best part, our sex life."

"Maybe one day but right now I just want to spend time with my family. It takes a lot to write a book. I mean I may try and do some one day just to see how it all fits together."

He laid his hand on my leg and gave it a gentle squeeze. "That's fine dear." He leaned over and kissed her cheek.

The rest of the plane ride was peaceful, they were cuddled up as they talked and laughed. They had a really great relationship and the flight attendant noticed how they were together. She snapped a photo of them looking at each other and smiling and posted it to social media with the caption that read, "If this isn't true love I don't know what is."

They landed in Miami and Danny was out front waiting on them. Crystal ran and jumped into his arms when they stepped out and she saw him. He picked her up and swung her around.

"What am I chopped liver?" Jordan said standing there holding their suitcase while Danny was holding his wife. Danny gently set Crystal down.

"Come here, bro. I don't want you feeling left out." He gave him a side hug. "Sorry J but crystal is much better looking so she gets held. I don't think it would be appropriate if I hold you as I did her. Alright, let's go to Casa Wood." He busted out laughing at the look Jordan gave him.   

They drove to Danny's house and unloaded the suitcase and their carry-ons. They went into his house and Crystal was smiling at how beautiful his house was. Vega, Chance, Tony, and Daniel all came out of the living room and hugged them.

They spent the next week laying on the beach eating great food that Danny cooked and just enjoying time with their family. It was time to head back home and Crystal was sad to leave. Danny lived right on the beach he was in better spirits after what happened with Andi.   

Crystal was hugging him before they went into the airport, "I love you, Danny. Please take care of yourself and you know we are always here for you. Thank you for letting us visit we had a blast. I may leave this knucklehead and move down here with you on the beach."

Danny's face turned bright red, Crystal had embarrassed him. "Anytime girl just say the word. I will fly up and bring you back. On a serious note, thank you, I love you both as well and I appreciate both of you during the Andi situation. It's nice to have friends no family who actually cares and makes several trips down to ensure I am good. It really has meant a lot to me."

They all hugged goodbye again and they walked through the automatic doors. Crystal smiled back at him once again and waved as he got into his SUV and drove away. Jordan hugged her tighter. She looked up at him and smiled as she nuzzled closer to his chest.
