As we walked up the stairs to my apartment my dad suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him while pointing a gun at the Five.
"Where did you get the film? The Frankel Footage. The truth this time." I have to admit I wouldn't have been very intimidated by my dad if I were at the other end of that gun.
"You know this lunatic?" Diego sort of whispered to Five.
"He's my dad." I told him.
"He's harmless." Five just sighed and I had to agree with him.
"Are you, or are you not, an enemy of the people?" He shouted at them.
"Oh my goodness, dad. You are so embarrassing." I huffed and went back over to join Five as he discussed this with Diego and Lila, the crazy lady, about it depending on the people really.
"You want to take this or should I?" Diego mumbled.
"No, I got it." Five then teleported to my dad and pushed the gun so it was pointing at the air. After it was fired, Diego went over and took it from him.
"Probably a smart idea." I giggled, wondering if my dad would have actually had the guts to shoot these people.

Five and Diego had tied up my dad, which I agreed to for the sake of his own safety, I don't imagine it would end well for him if he tried anything. I set up the projector so that we could watch the Frankel Footage that Five had brought.
Once the film was playing I became even more confused as it was supposedly taken 6 days from now and Diego said that the president got shot. To make matters even more confusing, Five and Diego said that their dad was in the footage.
"Of course dad would be involved in the assassination. I should have known." Diego started.
"No, you're jumping to conclusions." Five was scratching the back of his neck whilst pacing around the room. I've noticed that he does that when he's thinking of a plan.
"What the hell else is he doing standing on the grassy knoll, holding an open black umbrella on a sunny day in Dallas, the exact moment the president gets shot?" Diego shouted at Five and went right up to his face.
"It doesn't look good, I admit."
"No, he's the signalman for the whole goddamn thing."
"Easy Diego. Seriously."
"No it all makes sense. This is what Hazel was obviously trying to tell you. We have to stop dad from killing the president."
"Who's Hazel?" I decided to butt in but was completely ignored.
"Diego, calm down, alright? Dad was no boy scout, but presidential assassination? It's never been his thing." Five tried to reason with Diego.
"How would you know? You skipped out on his golden years."
"Skipped out? You think I had it easy, Diego? I was alone for 45 years." It was Five's turn to get in Diego's face this time.
"Wait 45 years, but you look the same age as me?" I was just growing more confused by the minute.
"I'll explain later." He finally answered me.
"Okay, you know what? The world is going to end in a week. We don't have the time for this. He's your dad, let's just go talk to him, it's not like he doesn't know his own kids." I told them both standing in between them and chuckling awkwardly.
"You didn't tell her?" Diego spoke directly to Five.
"Didn't tell me what?" I looked at Five nervously.
"We aren't exactly from around here." He said and I gave him a 'that much was obvious' kind of look. "We are from the future, 2019."
I scoffed. "Yeah right." But neither of them said anything and only held serious faces. "Wait, you're serious? How is that possible?"
Five stepped closer to me and grabbed hold of my hands. "Listen, I promise I'll explain later but this is something we have to do now." I could barely focus on his sentence as the feeling of his soft hands on mine had my heart beating fast. Then he suddenly let go and put his hands back in his pockets.
"Let's go talk to dad. Maybe he can help us fix the timeline."
"Dallas is a big place. We need to find him first." Diego was so pessimistic.
"Gee, if only we had some magical, old-timey way of finding people and their addresses." I giggled at Diego's unimpressed face due to Five's sarcasm.
Once they found the address they began leaving and I was quick to follow them.
"Is he okay to leave here like that?" Diego muttered to Five, not realising I was right behind them.
"Um, I'd actually prefer it if we left him like that. I don't want you guys to hurt him if he pulls a gun on you again." I told them as I put on my cardigan.
"Is she coming?"
"Yeah, she's fine." Five told him, looking back over his shoulder at me and smiling a little. "What about the girl?"
"Shit." Then he stormed off to find Lila.
"Come on, we'll wait in the car." Five then grabbed my hand again and teleported us to the car.
"Seriously, please give me some warning." I giggled, smoothing out my dress.
"Sorry." I was astonished that the word sorry was even in his vocabulary.
"It's fine. So, is now a good time for the explanation that you owe me?" I nervously picked at my fingers not sure if I actually wanted to hear the explanation, I was already scared and confused as it was.
Five went on to tell me about how he time travelled and got stuck in the future alone for 45 years, then how he got a job with someplace called The Commission. He told me that he worked out the calculations so that he could travel back to his family and save the world from an apocalypse, but that didn't work so he had to time travel along with his siblings and they ended up scattered across the timeline in the 60s.
"I'm so sorry Five." I couldn't imagine having to spend so much time alone and then fighting so hard to still fail. I reached out and placed my hand on top of his in a hopefully comforting manner. He smiled up at me softly and just as I was getting lost in his eyes, Diego got in the backseat of the car.
"Come on. What are we waiting for? Let's go."
///Author's note///
Hey, I hate writing author's notes but I just wanted to see if anyone was actually reading my story. If so I would love some feedback. I'm not a good writer and have not been doing this long. In fact this is the first fanfic that I have been brave enough to post. So any comments or interactions on my story would be greatly appreciated, maybe vote if you don't feel like commenting. Of course you don't have to do this and you may just want to enjoy the story.
