{Chapter One - New Neighbor}

"ALL DONE."

William turns to look at Lydia, smiling with a nod. It was moving day, William and Lydia planned to finish unpacking that same exact day before exploring the streets of L.A. He walks over to her before giving her a soft kiss on the lips.

"Thanks for helping. I know you're tired so go get some rest. I'll bring you back some coffee when you wake up." William tells her after pulling away.

"Great! I'll go to sleep, wake up, drink the coffee you bring for me and then go exploring too." Lydia liked the sound of that, she's never been to L.A before so exploring the city will be exciting for her.

"Alright. And I won't just bring you a coffee I'll bring you your favorite coffee." William states, causing Lydia to smile widely.

"I think all this talk is waking me up." Lydia jokes, chuckling. "But I still could use some coffee."

William chuckles along with her. "Well then I'll be back, wait are you leaving? Because if you are I can take the coffee to your location."

Lydia nods. "I'll be taking a walk around the area so yeah I'm leaving. I'll let you know where I am though."

"Alrighty." William kisses her cheek and leaves, closing the door shut gently.

Lydia put her baby pink blazer on, and left her beautifully, modern, furnished home. She walked the streets of L.A enjoying the nice breeze, the sunlight, the beautiful flowers.

Lydia entered a place called Anarvin, she walked over to the bookshelves, picking up a book called 'Play It As It Lays'. She skims the first chapter of it, thinking it seems like a good book she'd enjoy reading on her couch.

A brunette female, with dark blue eyes, wearing a Green Satin Jump Jacket, a Silk orange camisole, and a pair of High Waist Skinny Jeans, along with some Black Sneakers.

"Finding everything okay?" The brunette inquires, looking at Lydia and then she looks at the book, smiling.

Lydia looks up at her. "Uh, yeah."

The brunette nods. "I love that book." The brunette shakes her head. "It's very comforting to me, it's smart, it's fascinating, and it's a bit complicating and dark but it's soothing. Or at least it's soothing to me." She chuckles.

Lydia chuckles along. "You're really into that kind of stuff?"

The brunette raises a brow, slightly. "Who isn't? Everyone has a dark side that they need to please. By dark side I mean like watching a movie and you end up loving the villain because of their passion and determination for destroying Batman."

"I actually hate the villains in the movies. Especially the ones that are after the DC and Marvel superheroes. But I do love the superhero Spiderman." Lydia states, closing the book.

"Spiderman? Really? I respect your opinion it's just...I think Spiderman is superficially advised and overrated. He has more movies that fucking Nemo. And he was cute!" The brunette makes a point.

Lydia couldn't argue with that one. "You could be in a debate club."

"Well here's a fun fact. I was in the debate club in and high school." The brunette shrugs.

Lydia looks a bit surprised. "I'm sure you were the best."

"At times. Sometimes I made my team lose." The brunette giggles, moving her hair out of her face.

Lydia subconsciously admires the brunettes giggle, she thought it was an adorable giggle. She was soon interrupted by William calling her.

"Do you need to take that?" The brunette asks, being polite.

"Yes, sorry." Lydia apologizes, walking away from the brunette as she answered the call. "Hey, I'm at Anarvin if you already got the coffee."

William nods on the other side of the phone. "On my way! Also the coffee at Starbucks is better than it was Dunkin' Donuts. Well in my opinion."

"Ok." She chuckles. "I'm just looking for books so I'll be occupied." She says, looking back at the brunette who was now organizing the books on the shelves.

"See you." William tells her before hanging up. Lydia walked back over to the brunette, hiding a smile. "Sorry about that. It was my husband."

"No worries. I understand." The brunette smiles, handing the blonde a book.

Lydia gently takes the book from her, reading the title. "Desperate Characters....you think I'm a desperate character?"

The brunette shrugs. "Well yeah. Everyone is desperation within. They just need to own up to it and stop being so pitiful over it."

"And I don't think we had a proper introduction. I'm Love, and you are?" Love extends her hand out for Lydia.

"I'm Lydia. Nice to meet you. Love." Lydia shakes her hand for a minute and then pulls away.

"You too." Love looks at her watch on her wrist. "Shit, Shit, Shit. I have to go. See you around some time." Love pauses while looking Lydia into her eyes.

"Ok...is there something on my face?" Lydia wipes her nose.

Love shakes her head. "No, you just have beautiful eyes. Have a good day, Lydia." She smiled at the blonde before walking away from her.

Leaving Lydia feeling butterflies in her stomach without realizing why. Or how. It just happened.
