{Chapter Ten - Sorry}
LOVE WAS RIGHT, JULIETTE WAS A BITCH. AND HARD TO WORK WITH BECAUSE OF THE BITCHINESS. It's been two days since Lydia started working at Anarvin and Juliette kept treating her like she was her assistant.
"Lily! My tea is getting cold!" Juliette shouts from afar.
Lydia huffs, closing her computer, going into Juliette's office. "It's LYDIA. AND I DO NOT CARE If ITS COLD BECAUSE I. AM. NOT. YOUR. ASSISTANT."
"Lydia. You're going to respect me. Because I can get you fired." Juliette states, getting up from her chair, approaching her.
Love enters the office in the knick of time, she notices that there's something tension going on in the room. "Uh. Is everything ok?"
Juliette looks at Love and backs away from Lydia. "Yes, everything's fine. Lydia's just being a bit dramatic. Right, Lydia?"
"Yeah." Lydia lies, looking Love straight in the eye. But Love knew she was lying, she just didn't know why.
"Are you sure?" Love asks Lydia, looking at Juliette for one second and then back at her.
Lydia nods. "I'm sure."
Love leaves the room, she couldn't believe that Lydia just looked her in the eye and lie. Why would Lydia lie? Maybe Love underestimated her.
A familiar face appeared in front of Love while she was making ham and cheese sandwiches with tomatoes and lettuce, along with celery on the side. "Payton? What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in New York?"
"Yeah, but it's been a while since I've seen you in person so, Hi!" Payton exclaims, giving Love a tight hug.
Love smiles. "It's so good to see you! Although I have to go take these sandwiches outside since my parents are throwing an event out there. You're welcome to go if you want."
"I'll be sure to check it out but first I need to buy groceries." Payton takes a celery and goes to the fruit aisle.
Love goes outside, setting plates on each table she saw near her, and she approached her twin brother. "Forty. It looks like you're waiting for someone. So who is it?"
"Oh, you know her." Forty looks at his sister, before turning to look at Candace who was holding hands with a man that had curly black hair and dark brown eyes.
"You were waiting for Candace?!" Love inquires, picking up a celery.
"It's nice to see you, Forty Fort." Candace chuckles, setting her hand on his shoulder, while the man she was holding hands with stands near at the table Love was standing at.
"Love, this is Joe, and Joe that is Love." Candace introduces them, sneaking a grin.
"Nice to meet you Joe." Love states, taking a bite out of her celery.
Joe looks at her. "Wish I could say the same for you but I don't know you yet."
Forty and Candace were bonding, talking about his upcoming films and stuff like that. However, Love was more focused on why Lydia lied to her.
Speaking of Lydia, the blonde went outside, holding a boom, she approached Love and everyone around her. "Love, can I talk to you for a second?"
"Yeah. Sure." Love glares at Candace, who noticed the way Love looks at Lydia. So now Candace knows who the girl is and won't stop until Lydia knows just how much of a monster Love really is.
Love walks to a different area of the event with Lydia. "What's up?"
Lydia sighs. "I lied to you earlier. Everything wasn't ok. Juliette threatened to get me fired for telling her that I'm not her assistant."
Love makes a straight face. "I'm sorry that happened. I'll take care of it. Immediately."
Lydia smiles at her a bit. "Thanks."
Love nods slightly. "You're welcome. In the meantime enjoy the event, we have sandwiches, pizza, salad, and much more!"
"You're an amazing friend." Lydia compliments her before smiling and walking away to another table.
Love goes inside of Anarvin, barging into Juliette's office. "Why the hell are you threatening Lydia?"
"Because she disrespected me." Juliette spins around in her chair to face Love who was awfully mad at her.
Love scoffs. "And? You probably did something. Like being the bitch you always are."
"Ugh. Y'know what. If you don't want me threatening Lydia well then tell Forty to meet me in the storage closet." Juliette shrugs.
"Oh fuck that. I'm not going to sell my brother out to have sex with you so then you don't threaten your co-worker. Gosh, Juliette. Grow up." Love leaves, slamming the door behind her.
Threatening Lydia was the first step over the line but then asking Love to sell Forty out for sex? That was way over the line. And now Juliette's going to pay.
