{Chapter Twenty One - Love's True Colors Emerge}
LYDIA TIES HER HAIR INTO A BUN, GETTING READY TO WASH THE DISHES, SHE LOOKS UNDERNEATH THE SINK LOOKING FOR A TOWEL AND FINDS WILLIAMS GUN. The blonde picks it up, shocked and oddly confused.
William enters the apartment, to finish packing his personal belongings before he moves to the beach house they have in California. But Lydia stops him from going into the bedroom so she can ask him a question. "What is this?"
William gulps. "A gun?"
"Why do you have a gun under the sink?"
"For protection." William goes to the bedroom, getting his clothes from the closet.
Lydia follows him, leaning against the doorway. "Protection against what?"
"Anything dangerous."
"Is there something in particular that you're worried about?" Lydia raises a brow.
William stops and looks at her. "Lydia what's with all of these questions?"
"I'm just curious. You hid a gun from me so." She shrugs.
"I don't have time to be interrogated by someone that I'm getting a divorce from." William states, finishing up getting his things and then he leaves, taking his gun.
Love enters Lydia's home, knocking on the door while entering. "Lydia? Are you here? The door was unlocked again."
Lydia goes into the living room, slightly shrugging. "Shouldn't you be with your bestie Delilah?"
"Don't be like that." Love states, shaking her head.
Lydia rolls her eyes. "Whatever. I'm already frustrated enough because of the divorce and because William had a gun hidden under the sink."
"That was from me." Love says while walking over to the blonde.
"Why did you give him a gun?"
Love scratches her forehead. "He was uh saying how he wanted to protect you so I figured if he ever needed to then well he has something at least."
Lydia didn't care enough to notice that Love's true colors were beginning to emerge, she just ignored all the signs of Love being a liar, murderer, stalker. Because she just didn't care
to notice."Okay then. Now that the frustration is out of the way, are staying for dinner tonight? I'll make it extra romantic. And don't worry about William, he finished packing everything today." Lydia smiles.
"I would stay for dinner but I have plans with Delilah." The brunette sits on the couch.
Lydia silently huffs. "Oh, like what?"
"We're going to watch a movie tonight, you can join if you want because Delilah wouldn't care." Love explains.
"Hm. Well movie at night sometimes stands for 'watch me get naked to seduce you tonight' so no thanks. I wouldn't want to interrupt your sex session. With someone that's not your girlfriend." Lydia sits next to her, turning on the TV.
Love sits up. "I'm not having sex with her! Gosh, how many more times are you going to accuse me of sleeping with her or being more than friends with her?! I'm doing everything you ask and you still give me the cold hearted lecture?"
"Well you're not exactly doing everything I ask." The blonde looks at her.
"Yeah, because you're asking me to stop hanging out with her because you're jealous and insecure. When I should be the one insecure because you're still basically married and at any second you could go back to him."
Lydia scoffs. "Whenever I ask you to stop being her friend you get all defensive and shit."
"Who wouldn't get defensive about that? You're asking me to stop being friends with someone I like being friends with and who actually likes being my friend because you're a selfish, jealous bitch!!!!" Love snaps at her while getting up.
"I'm not selfish!"
"OH, BUT YOU ARE, YOU REALLY ARE. AND YOU WEREN'T ALWAYS LIKE THIS SO WHY THE SUDDEN CHANGE? SO WHENEVER YOU GO BACK TO BEING THE SELFLESS LYDIA I ACTUALLY LIKE BEING AROUND CALL ME." Love leaves, slamming the door behind her, goin over to Delilah's place.
"Hey, Love!" Delilah moves out the way, and when Love goes inside of her apartment Delilah closes the door.
"It's not nighttime yet so what's up?"
"Do you have a crush on me?" Love inquires, looking around the living room.
Delilah sheepishly scratches the back of her neck. "Yeah, of course! I mean who wouldn't?"
Love smiles. "That's very sweet of you to say..."
Delilah smiles back. "Well, I suppose I should say you're welcome. And do you want to help spy on Ellie? That's what I'm about to go do sooooo."
"Sure, do you know where she is?"
"She's near Henderson's mansion. She's still sharing her location with me but she said she was going to the wall with a bunch of friends." Delilah shows her Ellie's location.
"Well let's go see what she's really doing." Love raises a brow.
