{Chapter Twenty - Twisted Games}
LOVE LAYS TO THE SIDE OF LYDIA, UNDERNEATH THE NICE, COZY, WARM BLANKET THAT SHE HAS ON HER BED. "That was nice." The blonde says out of breath.
"Yeah. Can we talk about your divorce now? And don't try to seduce me into not wanting to talk about it again." Love sits up.
"Fine. It's nothing serious, honestly. Williams just putting all the houses he wants in his name and I'm just dealing with it." Lydia shrugs.
"You were seducing me to avoid saying THAT?" Love laughs, shaking her head.
Lydia changes the topic. "You and Delilah have been getting mighty close, wanna explain that?"
Love make a straight face. "She's my friend, Lydia. She's been a through a lot."
"She's my divorce attorney so it's very weird and awkward to me that you're besties with her." The blonde says while getting dressed in her clothes again.
"I'm sorry that you feel that way but I'm not going to stop hanging out with her. So." Love shrugs slightly, carelessly.
Lydia huffs, crossing her arms. "Fine. I guess you don't care about your girlfriends feelings."
"My 'girlfriend' is still married because in four months she'll actually be legally divorced and free. Also I do care about your feelings but mine are the most important right now." Love puts her clothes back on as well.
"So are mine." Lydia exhales.
Love walks over to her, placing her hands on Lydia's shoulders. "You just don't want me to sleep with her. Which is understandable but Delilah needs a friend and I enjoy being her friend."
"I'll see you later." Lydia moves Love's hands from her shoulders, leaving Love's house.
Love sighs, going into the living room, when she receives a text message from Delilah.
Delilah: Hey, wanna watch a movie tomorrow night? I picked one out specially for you 😌.
Love: If I didn't know better I'd say you're flirting with me 🥲.
Delilah: Hm. There's a slight possibility.
Love: When isn't there? And yeah, sure. I'm up for that.
Delilah: See you tomorrow, Love 😘.
Love was typing her response but then noticed the kiss on the cheek emoji. Now she was definitely sure that Delilah was flirting. Or was it just teasing? Guess she'll find out tomorrow night.
