{Chapter Nine - You Can't Fight Love}
A DAY LATER, LYDIA ARRIVED AT ANARVIN. She didn't see Love around so she approached Forty. "Hey, where's Love?"
"Probably still at home, getting ready for the day." Forty answers, sipping his Green Juice. "Why are you looking for her?" He then asks.
"She's my friend. And I'd love for her to show me around the writers area." Lydia's quick to say.
"I can show you." Forty offers.
Lydia shakes her head. "I-" she stops herself and then nods. "Okay."
Forty shows her the writers area, and their office. A woman with leather black hair, dark brown eyes, that was wearing a Navy Bow Ruffle Ribbons Long Sleeve Fashion Blouse, Georgia Skinny Jeans, along with a pair of Red and White Martin Valen Women High Sole Sneakers approaches them.
"Hello. Forty, who is the new one?" The woman asks, looking Lydia up and down out of disapproval.
Forty sets his drink down. "She's Lydia, she's going to be working with you in this area. So Juliette be nice or I'll fire you."
Juliette rolls her eyes, crossing her arms. "Ugh. Fine. Hello, Lydia."
"Hi, Juliette." Lydia says, looking around the room.
"Now that that's settled. Get to work." Forty demands before leaving the room, going into the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Love was getting ready for work. She grabbed her purse, and made sure she had everything in it and then Candace climbed through her window.
"What?" Love inquires, putting her phone in the back pocket of her red jeans. She also puts a book in her purse.
"I'm giving you another chance to say. Who's the girl?" Candace asks with a firm tone.
Love grabs her keys. "She's none of your business. Candace don't you have something better to do than making sure I don't date someone?"
Candace leans against the wall. "Not exactly. And that's not what I'm doing. I'm making sure she doesn't get hurt like I did."
Love stops and glares at her. "This isn't fucking about you. Besides, no one cares anymore. It's past tense."
Candace chuckles. "I'm dating someone who cares. He's crazy. He'll fight for me no matter what."
"I doubt that he's that crazy." Love remarks, grabbing a water out of the fridge,
Candace shakes her head. "Oh, but he is. He's crazier than you."
Love giggles. "I still doubt it."
"Hm. Okay. Well do you honestly think that I just want revenge for you attacking me? Because I actually want revenge for you destroying my marriage, marrying my husband and then killing him!!!!" Candace shouts.
Love scoffs. "James was going to leave me. FOR YOU."
"HE WAS SICK. YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO KILL HIM!"
"HE GOT BETTER AND WHEN HE HEALED PROPERLY HE WANTED A DIVORCE." Love looks at her full of anger.
Candace knocks something over. "YOU ARE AN EVIL PERSON YOU MANIPULATIVE, PSYCHOTIC BITCH!!!!"
"Whoever this person is that'll do anything for you doesn't know what they're getting themselves into." Love states.
Candace walks over to her. "When crazy's fighting against crazy. The craziest person in that fight will win. So bring it on bitch." Candace leaves, slamming the door behind her.
Love glares for a moment and then looks around, she couldn't believe this. She thought it was complete bullshit.
