Camden's POV:
----

I had never fought anyone before in my life, so I really didn't know what I was going to do. Or how exactly this would go. All I knew was I had Bosco's baseball bat to swing and I was fueled by pure rage. If Josh thought he could get away with hurting Angie, he was dead wrong.

Deja told me she saw him coming out of the library a lot after class, so that's where I waited. I got some suspicious looks, but I didn't bother to care about them too much. I was too angry, too focused on my task.

It wasn't long before Josh eventually emerged from the library building. He walked down the stairs, too busy on his phone to notice I was waiting off to the side. I let him get a bit ahead of me before quietly and slowly following him, having to resist the urge to run at him and immediately swing the bat.

Instead I gripped it tightly in my hands, taking deep breaths as I followed him to his dorm building. He turned a corner to cut through another short cut, and I knew now was the time since there was nobody else around.

I bit my lip, letting my anger at this horrible person take over as I rushed towards him with the bat raised. Before Josh even had time to turn around, I was swinging at his upper back.

Josh cried out and fell to the ground, turning over and looking up at me with wide eyes. "Camden?-"

"That was for hurting my Angie!" I yelled at him, feeling tears in my eyes. I didn't like facing him at all, but he wasn't getting away with this. I closed my eyes in an effort to hide my tears and swung again, not knowing where I hit but hearing him gasp for breath. "And that's for making me feel worthless! I still haven't recovered from what you did to me!"

When I opened my eyes, I saw Josh pulling himself up against the wall. "Camden what the hell is wrong with you?-"

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you!" I couldn't control my tears from spilling. "You're an awful person! If Deja hadn't shown up when she did you would've killed Angie-"

"I wasn't going to kill her." Josh rolled his eyes, hissing at the pain from where I had swung the bat. "I was going to scare her into telling me what she did with my stuff."

He was lucky I wasn't swinging the bat at his face. I wasn't as evil as him. "Your stuff ruined my fucking life." I said through clenched teeth. "You ruined me. Angie helped fix me." I couldn't help but swing the bat again, this time at his stomach. Josh gasped, eyes wide as he slowly dropped back down to the ground.

"I hate you." I mumbled, gripping the bat so hard I thought I'd bend the wood. "I hate you and everything you did to me and my fiance. Don't ever come near us again. Rot in hell."

Josh stared at the ground with wide eyes, arms around where I had hit him. I took a shaky breath before walking away. He didn't make a move to get up and follow me, and I took that as a meaning that it was over.

The walk back to the dorm building was quiet. I walked up the stairs and to Bosco and Jasmine's room, knocking on the door to return the bat to Bosco.

She opened the door, looking down at me with a raised brow. "You...actually used it?"

"No Bosco. I just carried it around for fun." I smiled innocently, handing it to her. She slowly took it, shaking her head.

"Don't get into any trouble." She said, obviously joking but there was a hint of seriousness in her voice. "I don't need to be the person hiding the murder weapon."

"I didn't kill anyone." I huffed softly, walking down the hall to mine and Angie's room. I probably could've done that. But I think what I did do would be enough to keep him away for a long time.
