-Erica's POV-
"Niall, I got you some food," I shout, knocking on the door. Silence. My eyebrows furrow as I open the door to see it's empty. Kyleigh walks into the hallway and looks into the empty room.

"Where did he go?" She asks, walking with me back into the kitchen.

"He must have gone scavenging. He has to stop going alone. It's only been a few days since Shawn's...he just can't go alone," I tell her. My thoughts constantly flooded with images of Shawn.

"We have to talk to him about leaving this area. The foods becoming scarce and we need to keep moving," she tells me.

"Wait does that mean you want to split up from the other guys?" I ask, confused.

"They probably won't want to leave with us anyways. It's worth a try. I'm going to go find Niall," she says, grabbing a backpack and walking out the door. I grab my knife and put it in my waistband. As I go to walk out of the house there's a knock at the door. Michael and Ashton peak their heads in with happy looks on their face.

"We wanted to check on you guys," they say, following me into the kitchen. Michael hops onto the counter, popping a berry in his mouth.

"I'm glad you guys stopped by. Kyleigh and I were just talking about you guys. The food in this area is becoming harder and harder to find. So...we are gonna continue our journey to find another area," I tell them.

"Damn, leaving us already?" Ashton asks.

"Not unless you come with us. Stronger in numbers right?" I say.

"Luke wouldn't go for that," Michael says. I tilt my head a little, giving him a questioning look.

"He's determined to fortify this area for us to stay. We can plant more vegetables and fruit. There's a farm nearby we can steal from," He says, taking a map out of his bag. He points to where we are and how far the farm is.

"Theres no water source that's close enough. Yeah, there's the River we found you by but it's surrounded," I point out, looking to Michael.

"You can talk to Luke but our group might just settle here," he says. I groan, dramatically falling on the table. I tilt my head up and look to see them stealing more of our fruit.

"What are you guys doing here again?" I ask.

"We were gonna go walk around the neighborhood. Who knows maybe we can find more friends," he says. The two boys leave the house with a quick see ya later. Once they finally leave I go through the back and walk the paths between the two houses. Calum is in the backyard throwing various knives into a wooden board. He bends down to pick up the fallen blades when he notices me.

"What's up?" He ask, turning back to the board. He's throws his knife again, hitting the middle of the drawn on bullseye. I can't help but watch the boy in admiration. There have been subtle moments where I catch him looking at me. He always looks away before I can tease him about it.

"I wanted to talk to Luke. How are you so good at that?" I ask, right as another blade hits just below the other. He tells me to come over, handing me one of the smaller knives.

"Align your hips to the target. Like this," he says, placing his hands on my hips, pulling me against him. My heart starts pounding out my chest as he brings his hand up to move my own. I turn my head to look at him but he catches me watching him and flicks his head telling me to look at the board. He rests his hand on the back of mine snapping it forward. I release the blade hitting just below the target.
