--Erica's POV--
"Come on take this rifle," I tell Kyleigh as I hold it in the air for her to grab. She hesitantly grabs it as we leave the community and start walking into the woods.

"I only agreed to come with. I don't wanna shoot Bambi," she says making me laugh.

I look over at her with a smile and she just shakes her head, "I miss this," I tell her.

"Miss what? You never went hunting before all this," she says making me laugh again.

"No I miss us hanging out. Just us two. I know it will never compare to eating pizza and watching tv in our apartment. But it's nice to just relax," I tell her.

"How is this relaxing to you? But I agree I do miss us hanging out without one of the guys," she says.

"If you told me two years ago that I would be hunting to survive I wouldn't believe you," I tell her. She goes to say something but I put a hand to my lips and point to fresh tracks in front of us. She looks at me confused and I motion for her to follow me. She holds the rifle up like I showed her at the camp. I look behind a tree and see a large deer standing in between two bushes eating some leaves that have fallen off the trees. I nod my head in its direction and she stands next to the tree.

"Just breath, you got this," I whisper as she props the gun on her shoulder. I see a walker coming behind her and throw my knife lodging it inside of its skull. It loudly falls alerting the deer as Kyleigh shoots the gun. It manages to hit the tree behind it sending the deer away as it runs in fear.

"Damnit, why didn't you take the shot? We need that food," she says making me shake my head.

"If I can learn you can learn. You're smarter than me remember," I say taking the gun from her to hang her knife back. She wipes the zombies brains on a nearby bush before putting it into her holster.

"Did you have fun at the party the other night?" She asks making me smile.

"You mean the one you and Luke left to go have sex?" I tease making her blush. She nudges my arm as we make it to a clearing with a field of wildflowers and high grass.

"It was our six months anniversary we had to make it special," she says making me fake gag. She puts her hand up and points straight ahead at the deer that just ran away. I try to hand her the gun but she refuses. I line up my sights and pull the trigger hitting it between the antlers at the top of the head.

"Holy shit. That was incredible," she says making me smile. I bow at her approval and jog over to the kill.

"We should walkie back and tell them we need the truck," I tell her as she slings her bag around to grab it. She tells the guys we need the truck and that we are close to the main road.

"They said they will be here in a couple minutes," she says.

"And to answer your earlier question. I did have fun. I missed Jensen. I feel like I haven't seen him in forever," I tell her as we pick up the heavy animal and carry it to the main road.

"He did seem like he was in a happy mood. So did Ashton and Reece," she says making me pause for a second. She looks at my face and we both have this knowing look.

"If two members of our group were dating would you tell me?" I ask as we set the animal down on the concrete. She purses her lips and squints her eyes as I brush the sweat off my forehead.
