(Harry's POV)

I slowly opened my eyes to the sun beaming through a crack in our curtains and lifted my head, taking note that Jay and Carlos were sound asleep in bed which meant their little heist last night was unsuccessful. I smirked to myself, a little too happy that they failed as I marched over to the bathroom to get ready. I started to move a little faster when I remembered I was supposed to meet Ruby early this morning. I could hear the other two knuckleheads begin to stir awake in bed as I continued to make noise while cleaning myself up and getting dressed. A smile found its way to my lips as I recalled last night... the way her cheeks would turn red when I'd tease her, the smile on her face as she got excited about my participation in new classes, the soft and thrilling laughter that echoed the halls we ran down as we disobeyed curfew on my first night here. It hasn't even been a full day and she's already stuck in my head. I sighed to myself as I put what I thought I needed for the day into my new backpack, courtesy of Benny before I went to go put my jacket on. I thought for a moment and decided to go sleeveless with it, slipping it on and keeping it open as I noticed Carlos sit up in bed with a yawn.

"Why are you up and ready to go so early?" He asked groggily, trying to look at me through tired eyes.

"That's none of yer business is it now eh?" I chuckled as I slung my backpack over my shoulder "Let's just say, I'm actually gonna put in the effort while being here." I said and saluted him as I stepped out our dorm door, walking down the hall to Ruby's.

(Ruby's POV)

I sang to myself as I did my normal morning routine, slowly waltzing around the room with a smile on my face. I picked out my clothes for the day, feeling a little more inspired than usual to put effort into my appearance before I heard Lonnie wake up for once without my help. Oops, was it the singing?

"Well someone's happy to be up this fine morning at the crack of dawn." Lonnie said sarcastically and yawned, smiling at me "Is today your birthday and I just forgot or something?" She joked. I giggled and shook my head as I got dressed.

"No nothing like that, I'm just, happy," I said softly with a small chuckle as I started to put on light makeup. She raised a brow at me and got up, coming over with crossed arms.

"Somethings up, you're dressed cute two days in a row, you're putting on makeup, and is that perfume I smell?" She asked while sniffing the air "The outfit, the singing, the dopey smile-" she suddenly gasped out loud "It's a boy!!!" She shouted and squealed "Tell me! Who is it? Spill!" She demanded and started to brush her hair while staring at me with a huge toothy smile "And don't lie to me, you didn't come back before curfew last night, don't think you're not gonna tell me what's up with that either." She said while pointing her hairbrush at me. I thought to myself as I looked at my appearance in the mirror, this isn't all for him, is it? I don't wanna be doing this all for some boy. I huffed and got up, grabbing my canvas bag.

"I can't say that it's a boy but I won't say it isn't," I said and gave her a sly smile, putting my books in. She looked at me and jumped up and down.

"Oh please Ruby! We never talk about boys and the day you finally meet one you're keeping it from your best friend how awful!" She joked and threw a pillow at me. I laughed happily and checked the time on my phone, seeing it was 7:14.

"Oh look at that Lon, it's time for me to go, I'll talk to you later~" I sang with a wave as I was already halfway out the door.

"I will make you talk!" She said while pointing at me before I fully closed the door with a giggle. I went to turn and be on my way before I bumped into something hard, taking a step back to brace myself before I looked up into said hard thing's eyes, being extremely close to none other than Harry.
