I packed the remains of the soup in thermoses for later and we cli,bed back intomthe crappy rain. Six boosted Mono onto a dumpster ans over a fence. He knocked down a board, allowing is to crawl through. We went into another vent and wound up in the light of a window. We cli,bed in and the smell of rubbing alcohol and dirty linens made my nose wrinkle.

We climbed under a bed and I saw a corridor blocked by bars. Forcing open a door, Mono almost fell into a chasm before I pulled him up. Beds where strung from ropes and higher up. "Why and how did the beds get like this?" I asked, seeing a body strapped to a bed. Mono took a fuse and made the lights flicker off. He put it in a different fuse, opening an elevator door. He jumped down, making the elevator shudder.

I climbed down carefully and the elevator remained as is. I began prying open a vent as Six jumped down, and we all just barely got in before the elevator plummeted. We got into a dark room and Mono picked up a flashlight as I sparked the flame on my lighter. This hospital is fucking dark. I scrounged through my pockets, feeling a cold metal box.

"Six, come here." I said, and the yellow cloaked girl came over. "If it's ever too dark for you to see, use this to light your way." I said, handing her a flicklighter. We walked through the dark corridors and Mono lit up a boarded up door. "Uh... NOPE!" I said, and we finally got into a room with light. Mono got a soda from a vending machine and opened a door. The TV in the next room clicked on and Mono went over to it.

He vanished into the TV and Mono went to the door before Six pulled him out. These mannequins where freaky. We went into a room with an X-ray machine. I saw an X-ray of a stuffy with a key inside. Mono grabbed a bear, Six grabbed a duck, and I grabbed a bunny. I tripped over a box of crayons and hit the shelf, making something fall. Mono went over to it and put a creepy bear head on.

"Take the hat off." I said quickly. "Why?" He asked. "Take it off. It's creepy." I said, and he reluctantly took the head off. The bunny had the key and the duck had... and axe head? We went into an elevator and it dropped down. The scent of ash and death made me gag. We tossed the toys into an incinerator and turned it on. Once the fire stopped Mono climbed inside and took the key out.

We went back upstairs and went past another mannequin, seeing a door that needed a fuse. On the other side of the stairs was a locked door that Mono put the key in. Prosthetic arm's and legs hung from the ceiling, and a human torso lay on a table. The hall's where pitch black and Mono absorbed another shadow. Six boosted Mono and I through a broken door window into a room with a headless body strapped to a table.

"Why.... would a headless body need to be strapped down?" I asked, concerned, and Mono turned his head to me. We looked each other in the eye for a minute... well, him in my eyes, I just stared into the dark eyeholes, before we both shuddered. I grabbed Mono's hand out of fear and we began moving a box. The body shuddered and struggled, and the hand fell off before skittering away.

And... now we're in Coraline. Does that make Mono Wybe? I thought, remembering the book The Hunter read to me as a kid. The hand sputtered around before trying to attack us. I tried to hit it with my foot as Mono tried to hit it with a pipe. I hate this city.
