Chapter 24: A rough fall of heartbreak

This will probably be a rather short chapter as it only covers a character death so don't expect much of this chapter-

As the clouds covered the sky of Dreamland, Flair, Flare and Ellie ran around the castle gardens playing tag. When suddenly it began to drizzle, the three ran inside to take cover from the rain. The three then sat down to catch their breath after a long game, as Flair and Ellie started chatting about the game.

Just then a waddle walked up to Flare and gave her a note before leaving, she gave the waddle Dee a wave as a thank you before reading the message.

"Oh someone wants to meet me on the tower closest to facing east!" Flare noted to the others,

"Ohhhh interesting, say you do know where your going right." Asked Flair in a teasing manner

"Uhhhhh...ummmm.." Flare stuttered

"You don't do you?" Ellie pointed out poking Flare, "come on let's go find someone to help you."

"Ok but who are we goi-" Started Flare as Ellie dragged her along.

The two walked down through the corridors, trying to find someone who knew where they were going to help guide them. After about ten minutes of looking, they ran into Meta knight and Fomey.

"Excuse me Meta knight, do you know where the most east tower is?" Flare asked

"Yeah, it's literally just up that stair case, why are yo-" Meta knight responded but was cut off as Flare began to bolt up the stairs

"Rude much" commented Fomey

"Anyway bye!" Ellie said waving good bye as she left to find Flair.

Flare arrived at the top of the tower on the balcony but didn't see anyone there, perhaps they'd left or this was just some big joke, or perhaps-

"Hello Flare, your a little late aren't you."

Flare turned around to see Eve leaning against the wall, though she seemed to be hiding something behind her.

"Oh hi Eve didn't see you there, sorry about being late, I didn't know where to go." Flare explained to Eve, who gave a simple grin. After a moment this grin turned to a frown as Eve stepped forward.

"You do know why I brought you here don't you?" Eve questioned Flare, expecting one answer but getting the one she didn't want.

"No I don't know why im here.."

"It's because your dating eevlin."

"WHAT?! No im not im dating her sister Sylvia!"

"That's what you think.."

"What?"

"If you didn't remember, Eevlin can turn into whoever she wants, she has been taking the form of Sylvia to date you. Sylvia has been dead for many years after her forced marrage with Sylvester where she stabbed herself to death."

Flare seemed upset about this and angered by the mention of Sylvester. "She's.. been dead? Wow, Eevlin really is insensitive isn't she."

Eve chucked "I guess you could see that so, do you now know why your here." She asked once more, revealing a knife from behind her back.

Flare suddenly realised why she was her, she backed up against the balcony edgy, "no, please don't kill me.."

"Don't you want to be with Sylvia in the after life?"

"Well yes but-"

Flare was cut off as the knife was buried into her chest, as she screamed Eve pushed her off the balcony. Eve have an cutesy giggle, amused by her actions

"Well I should leave now shouldnt I, don't want to get in trouble, what will Eevlin think if she learns I killed her fake love?"

Eve gently tip-toed down the stairs, avoiding being seen or heard. Upon reaching the front landing play of Flares body, she saw a crowd of people around her, looking upset and scared. Eve walked around the corner and let out a fake scream before hiding. Everyone began to run off thinking who ever killed Flare was killing someone again.

Eve got out of her hiding spot after a moment, she walked over to flares body, and burned it to ashes.

"Now nobody can find out I did this" Eve giggled as she left.
