"What do you think you were doing Cisco!?" Barry shouted as he rushed through the corridors with me in his arms. Cisco wasn't far behind.

"Im sorry! It was just a little experiment! I made the weapon for her." Cisco protested. We were now in the lab, Caitlin soon joining us.

"What happened?!" She stressed.

"I'm fine, really." I whined, a throbbing sensations filling my body. No one listened to me.

Barry set me down on the surgery bed."Why would she need a weopon? She wouldn't be allowed to carry it on the streets, so what was the point?"

"For the missions-"

"Missions!? What made you think that I would let her do something like that!?"

They kept on arguing, whilst Caitlin checked me over. She sent me a sympathetic smile before going back to scanning for any injuries. The shouting went on for longer, until Caitlin separated them.

"Look, this isn't helping anyone. Cisco, apologise to Bethan." Caitlin demanded.

Cisco approached me, looking very guilty."Bethan, I am really sorry. And I'm not just apologising because Caitlin told me to."

"Cisco, it's fine. Of course I forgive you. Now Barry, you apologise to Cisco." I said.

"What? But I haven't done anything." He whined like a child.

"You shouted at him. This was all an accident. Go on."

He sighed, turning to face Cisco."I'm sorry. I just saw her under those boxes and I panicked. She's been through so much already that I don't want to see her hurt again."

I felt the blush rise to my cheeks. Caitlin cleared her throat."You'll be fine Bethan. Just a few bruises maybe, you'll be a little sore but you should be fine by morning. Come on Cisco." As they left, I shouted a 'thank you', before Barry came to lie next to me.

"Another exciting day at the office." I chuckled, trying to make him at least smile."Oh come one Barry, it's not a big deal."

"Yes it is." He snapped."You would think that after all of the danger that you've been in, because of me, that I would be a better boyfriend."

"Barry, please don't blame this on you. I mean, I'm not living the life I thought I would be."

"And what was that?"

"Well, I had always fantasised about it, living in an apartment big enough to hold all the clothes, shoes and handbags I could ever want, just like Carrie Bradshaw; except, without the heartbreak."

"Who?"

"The main character from 'Sex and The City'."

"You know, I never really got into that stuff." We laughed."I'm sorry you didn't get the life you wanted."

"No, it's alright. I've got an even better one."

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Strolling through the streets, I balanced shopping bags on each arm, happy with my purchases. As soon as I had woken up, I knew that I needed some therapy to overcome the events from the last few days; and what better treatment was there than shopping? Finished with my shopping trip, I was heading back home but then I passed Jitters. Stopping, I quickly contemplated going in, then turned around to do so.

Walking in, Iris spotted me as smiled."Hey Bethan."

I waved."Hiya."

I had decided that Iris wasn't a threat to me. And by the way Barry was treating me over the last few days, I knew that he was telling the truth when he told me had no feeling for Iris. So once that had all been sorted, I decided to try and be friends with her.

Taking a seat, I set the bags all around me before shrugging off my coat. Shopping should have been classed as a work out, I was always tired afterwards; it made sense too, what with all the heavy bags you had to lug about in Louis Vuitton heels all day, plus you had to use maths skills to work out if you could buy the dream dress you wanted or make do with a cheaper version.

"Bethan, it's nice to see you again." A deep voice said behind me. Looking up slowly, I saw Joe standing at my table."May I take a seat?"

I nodded, trying to not seem nervous.

He sighed."I see that you haven't taken my advice."

"No." Was all I said.

"And you've been hiding."

"I haven't been hiding. I was helping friends."

"What friends?"

"Is there a point to this Joe? Because I see no reason why you need to know the details of my personal life."

"I have a perfectly good reason. And that reason is Barry."

I was taken back by this tone of voice."Why? He is perfectly fine with me I'm not going to hurt him."

"It's not you hurting him that I'm worried about."

"Oh, dad, hi." Iris interrupted our conversation.

"Hi. Busy day?" Joe acted casual.

"Not really. You know, the usual. Here you go guys." She set down a mug if tea and hot chocolate, along with a chocolate muffin and a slice of red velvet cake."Dad, this is your usual, and Bethan I slipped you some cake. Both on the house." Before I could protest about the money she walked away.

"As I was saying.... Barry is constantly worrying about you. I've seen him do it."

"Does he pace in tiny circles with his hands on his head?"

He smiled a little."Yep. Look, I'm worried that one day, Barry is going to go azy trying to protect you. No one wants to see you get hurt. If, and I say if, you get hurt badly, Barry would never forgive himself, you know that."

"But why would you want us to split?"

"It's just one less important person to worry about."
