Sitting in a swivel chair, I spun around, waiting for The Flash. For someone who ran really fast he was taking forever to get here. My phone had rung just after The Flash had defeated his enemy and I answered it to hear Barry. He was wondering where I was, panicked when he didn't find me at my apartment. Lying once again, I said that I went out with some colleagues for that drink I had wanted so badly. When he wouldn't believe me, I just hung up and turned the phone off. I didn't want any interruptions when The Flash arrived.

A huge gust of wind entered the room, blowing my hair and skirt about. After it was gone, I saw everyone looking at me, along with someone I wouldn't think would be here.

"Barry!?" I gasped, my hands covering my mouth. Barry was stood in The Flash's suit, his mask off.

He turned to look at me properly, shock on his face too. I felt paralyzed on the spot, not able to say or do anything, but just stare at the person in front of me. I hadn't noticed that everyone else had left the room until Barry started talking.

"You weren't meant to find out like this." He whispered

"Was I ever going to find out?" I asked. He just shook his head."Why didn't you tell me?"

"You know how dangerous I am, you're already in trouble because of me."

"But you're my friend! Don't friends tell each other things, look out for one another?"

"Yes but you have to understand that if people find out that you know my secret identity, they will torture you or do worse things until you confess."

He was pushing me away. I didn't want to believe that as the tears started to run down my cheeks. He wouldn't even come near me.

"I trusted you. I told you everything."

"I know-"

"You came to my apartment as The Flash instead of a friend. Who does that?"

"Bethan, please just stop and listen to me." He raised his voice."If I was going to tell you, it would have not been thrown upon you like this. I had nothing to do with this, the others probably thought it was a good idea seeing as I wasn't going to tell you. You've got to believe that at least."

Turning away from him, I crossed my arms over my chest, and took a deep breath. There was no way I was going to break down in front of him, I couldn't now. He groaned, slouching back in a seat, his face in his hands. Taking a deep breath, I gathered up my coat and bag before turning to face Barry.

"I'm just going to leave now. I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused you." I rushed out of the lab, flinching away from Barry when he tried to reach for my arm. As I did that, I knocked over a tray of tools, the objects making a horrible clashing sound echo throughout the lab.

Even though I knew I couldn't outrun The Flash, I tried to anyway. Struggling to put my coat on, I hurried down the corridors of Starlabs, resulting in me tripping over my own feet. The contents of my bag scattered everywhere, adding to the problem as I scrambled for the items. Before I could even grab anything, they were suddenly in my bag and Barry was knelt in front of me. His arms grabbed me, lifting me to my feet. There was no point fighting it anymore. His arms were still around me, they tightened as I wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Please, just let us help. We're so close to finding this guy." He mumbled.

"How many other people know?"

"Just Detective West."

"Wow, I'm one of the few people who know you're secret identity." I giggled as I wiped away a few tears.
