I smoothed down my black pencil skirt one more time before checking through my handbag. Today was the trial of 'Nameless' and Rose. The only thing keeping me sane was Barry. He was going too as he was a part of the investigation. Joe was going to be a witness just like me, as was Caitlin, Cisco and Dr Wells.

"Hey, are you ready to go?" Barry asked, fixing the tie on his suit. If we weren't going to court I would have been fainting at the sight of him.

I took a deep breath."Yeah, I guess so."

He hugged me, rubbing my back."You'll do fine. All your friends will be there."

"My best friend is in the dock."

"Don't think like that. Come on, we better get going."

Outside the courtroom, there were many people. Most were either the jury or witnesses but there were also press which the police were trying to get rid of. Barry had to meet up with Joe but took me to Cisco and Caitlin. Cailtin put her arm around me, rubbing my arms reasurringly. Not a lot of people were talking, only a few whispered here and there. The wait for the trial to begin felt like a lifetime and at long last the witnesses were called to a special room which would lead us to the stand. A few rules were said before we sat on the sofas before us.

"I wish I could be up there with you." Barry whispered to me.

"Me too. I just know I'm going to mess up." I admitted.

"No you won't. Just tell the truth sand it'll be over before you know it."

I was the fourth person to be called to the stand. Before me was Joe and a few civilians who were witnesses to the 'Nameless' crimes beforehand. They called my name and I suddenly couldn't move. Barry nudged me, smiling at me. Weakly smiling back, I stood up and made my way to the stairs. As I stood in the witness stand, I was shocked at how many people were at the trial. I swore my oath and took my seat. The judge announced a few things but my ears didn't comprehend what he was saying.

Rose was stood in a box, hands in chains. She looked awful; her hair was matted, eyes red and puffy from crying and her clothes were crumpled. I couldn't bear to see my best friend in this state, even after all she had done. However, 'Nameless' stood proud, smiling. He too looked like he had slept rough but he wasn't going to be dragged down by it.

"Miss Hills," a lawyer stood,"I understand that you and Miss Rose Truten are, or were, very close friends?"

"Yes." I simply answered.

"How was this friendship made between the two of you?"

"We worked together and it progressed from there."

"You probably know quite a lot about each other. You would work together, see each other after work, go out and do what most good friends do."

"Yes."

"So did it come as any surprise to you when Miss Truten announced that she had been helping 'Nameless'?"

"Of course it did. She's the nicest person I've ever met, despite her being snappy at times. We've always stuck up for one another. I just..."

"I understand that this is hard for you Miss Hills but you must finish you're statement."

"I just have no idea how she's fallen into this guys trap."

"Well, I'm sure that you'll find out soon enough." He sorted a few papers before walking in front of his desk."You've recently been involved with the vigilante, The Flash. Do you think that may have had an impact on your friend? Maybe she was jealous of your fame?"

"What? Rose is not shallow. She was worried about me like any friend should be."

"Sources have told me that you haven't been with her as much as you used to be."

"Sources? So you've been stalking me?"

"Miss Hills, please try not to be so dramatic." The judge interrupted.

"I'm sorry."

The lawyer sighed."I think Rise was lonely. Her friends were so caught up with you being saved by The Flash, she realised that that was all that anyone was going to talk about. She needed a friend, she needed love and when 'Nameless' came along, he gave her what she needed!"

"No! She's been tricked! He's using her?"

"WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT!?" Rose suddnely screamed, hitting the glass walls of the box."YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE MY BEST FRIEND!"

She was soon restrained, a therapist having to calm her down. More questions were thrown at me and I couldn't answer properly. As soon as they were over, I stumbled down the stairs, an officer escorting me out of the courtroom. Once I was out of the doors, I collapsed onto the floor in a fit of tears.
