My mind was blank. There were no thoughts in there, it was like someone had emptied everything out of it and now there was nothing left; although that could have been from the fall I had after I fainted. Barry and I were lying down on my bed, in silence. Barry had tried to make a conversation about anything but he knew I wouldn't talk. Suddenly, I felt anger though once I opened my eyes to see Barry's face, I instantly felt selfish.

I jumped onto him, hugging him as hard as I could. Barry instantly wrapped his arms around me but I could tell he was confused. Barry pushed me away slightly to see my face, waiting for an explanation.

"I just...I just feel as if everything has been about me lately." I sheepishly admitted.

Barry just laughed.

"What? Why are you laughing?"

"You're just too sweet."

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Although it was hard to at first, I eventually fell asleep. I wanted to sleep forever if it meant that I didn't have to think about anything that had happened in the last week. Never had I been so excited to sleep in all my life; though that excitement was over all too soon.

I was being shaken awake."Bethan! Bethan, come on, you have to get up."

"Ugh, Barry, I'm sleeping." I mumbled, pushing him off of me and diving back under the covers.

"No, I'm serious. If we don't leave then we're in danger."

I slowly sat up, still half asleep."Just slow down for once, ok? Explain."

"We don't have time!" Barry suddnely shouted, using his powers to pack some of our belongings into bags that he had found.

"Barry..." I sighed before hopping off of the bed and stomping into the living room.

The TV was still on, the channel switched onto the news. It was the headlines that caught my eye. That was all it would talk about, just that one story. A news reporter in a suit appeared in a sea of press, all standing in front of the police station.

"At two AM this morning, two inmates have escaped from separate prisons. These criminals are Rose Truten and 'Nameless' who were put on trial just yesterday."

Shit.

"There have been numerous reports that the two are headed towards the centre of Central City though no one knows what they're after. Citizens have been warned that they should stay inside and if they do spot either one of the missing inmates, they must not approach them and instead contact the police. Further-"

Before I could hear anything else on the report, the TV was turned off. Barry handed me one of my coats, seeing as I was only in my leggings and an old t-shirt for pyjamas. Once I had put it on, he grabbed my hand, slinging the bag over his shoulder at the same time. I knew nothing was going to convince Barry to stay but I was desperate not to leave. It was obvious that they were after me.

"Barry, let's just stop and think for a moment!" I pleaded, pulling him back just as we approached the door.

"I have thought about this and we need to leave!" Barry retaliated.

"Where are you even taking me!? Why won't you listen to me!?"

Barry sighed angrily, dropping my hand. I felt a little bit confident now, thinking that he was starting to listen but I was wrong. Just like the bag, he picked me up and out me on his shoulder. As I was about to shout at him again, he was already running. Slowly sliding me off of his shoulder, he held my hand again, guiding me into another block of flats.

"I'm sorry for not explaining but I had to get you here as soon as possible." Barry shyly apologised as we walked inside. It looked similar to my building.

"Barry, where are we?" I asked, looking around. None of the residents were up, only a couple of security guards.

"Caitlin lives here. She actually called me, warning me about the news. We agreed that you'd be safer here, they won't suspect this."

"Hey you guys!" We heard Caitlin's voice. She hugged me.

"Hey." I sighed, hugging back.

"Thank you so much." Barry said, handing her the bag.

"Please be careful. I'll be talking through to you but from my apartment. Don't be reckless!"

I turned to face Barry."You heard her." Caitlin walked away, nletting us be alone."Barry, please can you just promise me one thing?"

"What is it?"

"Can you at least try to not hurt Rose? Please?"

He looked shocked at this and was hesitant to answer."I can't promise that. I'm sorry."

"I thought you were going to say that..."

Barry hugged me before kissing my lips. He departed from us quickly, but I blamed that on the fact that I tried to make him promise on something impossible; not the fact that he had to save the city.
