-Two days later-

Kion walks out of the Lair to the water hole. He woke up early and decided to go ahead and get a few laps.

The sun hasn't fully risen so a few animals was still asleep.

Finishing getting some water, Kion sighs in satisfaction and walks back to pride rock.

Since he can't do his duty to protect the pridelands he has to rest for his wounds to heal.

Kion remembers the talk him and Fuli had with Rafiki.

-Flashback-

Kion hiss and moves his leg away from Rafiki as he tried to put on gooey salve on him.

"Kion, it will burn." Rafiki said to the prince.

"But does it has to burn this badly?" Kion said, not wanting no more of the salve on him.

"I'm afraid so, you're wounds is reacting to this that means it's working."

"Don't worry Kion it'll be over soon." Fuli said comforting him.

Kion groans but gave up knowing it was the only way for his wounds to heal.

"So how long will it take for my wounds to heal?" He asked.

"With the salve it makes faster progress, so I would say in a week."

It had to be a week.

"Alright but Rafiki how long will it take Fuli to heal?"

Fuli looks at him confused.

"The bite or her main healing?"

"Main."

"That is up to Fuli. Why you ask?"

Kion looks at Fuli, wanting her to answer.

"I can't run anymore." Fuli replied.

"Have you tried?"

"Yes but I have hallucinations and get exhausted."

Rafiki looks at Fuli confused.

"When did you start running and why?" He asked.

"Uh yesterday and from the hyenas."

"Hmm."

"Is something wrong, Rafiki." Kion asked.

"I thought Fuli wasn't running because she over used it that day but I didn't know it would cause hallucinations. What happened before you ran from the hyenas?"

"I left pride rock because I was bored and I felt like running."

"You felt like running, did you feel like your old self again?"

"Yeah, I actually didn't."

"Interesting."

"Why?" Kion and Fuli asked confused.

"Well, because I didn't know this would help you Fuli. You're mind is almost healed but your body isn't."

"Meaning?"

"You said you started feeling like your old when you left pride rock, you felt like running, and when you ran from the hyenas you were exhausted. You didn't see these hallucinations until you started running." Rafiki said and continues, "You might be fine from that day but your body isn't. You've been focused on your mind that you forgot about your body."

"So what do I need to do?"

"I suggest you start going out more. Being inside the Lair is keeping you from becoming your old self."

"No wonder I wanted to turn back."

"Yes. Being outside instead of laying around is good for your body. Do you see that?"

"I actually do."

"I don't." Kion said, "Fuli's safer here."

"Kion, a cheetah needs space. Being near pride rock isn't going to help her get better for her. Lions lay around and sleep until important things come up but cheetahs be out in open space running. Fuli did say she wanted to turn back but she didn't she realized that being inside isn't helping her."

Kion looks at Fuli and she nods in agreement.

"I did realize being in here wasn't helping. I wanted to turn around and hide but I realized that wasn't me or what I was suppose to do. I tried to tell you that I needed it."

"I did say you two needed to help support and comfort each other but that's not what you're doing Kion. You're not supporting you're not comforting, you're keeping her away." Rafiki said giving him a small smile.

"Oh.." Kion said looking down disappointed.

He wants to help Fuli but he's doing the complete opposite.

"I'm sorry Fuli."

"It's alright, Kion, I know you're worried about me." Fuli said smiling softly.

He really was.

-End-

Kion should've listen to Fuli instead of yelling at her. She was trying to tell him this whole time but he wouldn't listen.

"I'm a bad boyfriend." Kion whispered to himself walking into the Lair.

He walks up to the sledge, hops up and lays down next to Fuli laying his head on her side.

From now on he'll be a better boyfriend.

------------------------------------

It was now fully morning and two animals had gotten done eating breakfast and was now walking around.

"You sure you're okay with this Kion?" Fuli asked her boyfriend beside her.

"Yes, I'm sure." Kion answered.

Ever since Rafiki said being inside the Lair wasn't helping Fuli, Kion started walking with her outside and farther away from pride rock.

"But you need rest."

"I'll rest later, Fuli, don't worry about me. Just enjoy being outside."

"Okay."

Fuli appreciates what Kion's doing. When she woke up this morning he apologized for being a bad boyfriend and said he'll do better.

Fuli didn't expect that but she was greatful and told him that he wasn't a bad boyfriend. She knew he was stressed and worried about he and was being overprotective but she was glad he cared so much.

Enjoying the day, Fuli was actually feeling like her old self.

Fuli wasn't going to try running though, she wasn't ready. She asked Rafiki how could she run and again he said that was up to her. He did say that she needs to take it slow if she tries again and focus on the hallucinations.

She didn't quite understand how that was going to help but she will try.
