an early Christmas gift

You woke up snuggled next to Eddie. He was lightly snoring which was adorable. You were facing him and lightly brushed a piece of his hair out of his face. He must've felt it though because he started to stir. He started pulling you closer to him.

Y/n: good morning my love

Eddie: five more minutes
He still had his morning voice

You sat up and looked at him. He opened his eyes and you gave him a look. He must've understood what you meant because he closed his eyes and spoke up again.

Eddie: five more minutes my love?

Y/n: well, I don't see why not

You climbed back under the covers and snuggled close to him. He played with your hair as the two of you drifted back into a deep sleep.

You suddenly woke up to Eddie squirming this time.

Y/n: Eddie what are you doing

Eddie: there's hair in my mouth

Y/n: just use your hands to get it out

Eddie: no

Y/n: why not

Eddie: because then I have to let got of you

Y/n: just use one of your hands to do it really quick and then hold me again

Eddie: fine

He got his hair out of his mouth and then pulled you close to him again.

Y/n: do you know what time it is?

Eddie: I'll check.

You suddenly were being pulled across the bed.

Y/n: EDDIE WHAT ARE YOU DOING

Eddie: checking the time, and not letting go of my girl

You smiled and he smiled back showing off all of his dimples. Then he turned around to check your clock

Eddie: shit y/n it's 12 pm!

Y/n: what? We slept in that late?

Eddie: well to be fair, last night was pretty tiring
He gave you a wink

Y/n: Edward Munson
He mocked you

Eddie: Y/n Henderson

You laughed at his funny voice

Eddie: there it is

Y/n: what?

Eddie: that adorable laugh you have

You blushed and looked up at him while laying on his chest.

Y/n: I love you so much Eddie

Eddie: yeah well I love you too darling

He kissed the top of your head as you snuggled up close to him.

Y/n: I could stay in bed all day

Eddie: me too except I do have to do something important around two

Y/n: what?

Eddie: I guess it's my turn to surprise you

Y/n: Eddie you don't have to do something for me just because I did something for you

Eddie: I know, this is just kinda an early Christmas gift.

Y/n: ok fine, so one more hour in bed and then we'll get ready for the day?

Eddie: perfect.

He held you in a hug under the covers. His arms were tight around you, not so tight you couldn't breath, but tight enough to let you know you were protected and loved by him.
