They kept you in the hospital for three days and Eddie never left your side. Blisters started forming on your hands and fingers from the frost bite so he had to hold your arm or wrist instead so they wouldn't pop. He still held them gently though, it was almost like he thought you'd break.

Jason and Andy were caught and questioned, they both lied right to the courts face. But thankfully between Eddie, Dustin, Robin, Nancy, Steve, Lucas, Mike and Gareth they were found guilty and charged for kidnapping and assault. You called your mom from the hospital just to check up on her, she was stuck in her business trip for the next month still and she wasn't going to be back for a while. It worked out though so you wouldn't have to tell her what happened.

You were discharged and sent home with Eddie, it seemed like only a little while ago you were stuck in the same scenario from after Steve's party. You didn't want Eddie to worry about you so you unintentionally started shutting him out. You felt like he was constantly waiting on you and you didn't want him to feel like you were completely dependent on him. He stayed at your house and didn't leave your side so it felt like he was sometimes more like a maid than your boyfriend and you hated feeling like he might feel like that.

Eddie: hey, do you want some tea this morning, love?

Y/n: yeah I can get it though

Eddie: no sit down I've got it

You got up and pushed him out of the way

Y/n: I'm already up

Eddie: ok that's it, what's going on with you?

Y/n: what do you mean?

Eddie: ever since the hospital you've been acting different... is it because of what happened? Or is there something you're not telling me?

You stood in silence not being able to find words

Eddie: Look at me. I love you more than you'll ever know y/n, but if you don't let me in on what you're thinking or how you're feeling, I can't help you. Ok? So what's going on?

Y/n: I I just hate feeling like a burden to you

Eddie: why would you be a burden love?

Y/n: because I had the first whole thing with punching Jason in the hallway and then my 'episode' in October, then you had to come find me in some abandoned restaurant and now I feel like you have to take care of me again and I jus....

Eddie: hey hey, look at me ok? You could NEVER be a burden to me ok? NEVER, not in a million years. My job as your boyfriend aka future husband is to take care of you ok? And I love taking care of you, you are and forever will be mine, so please stop doing this to yourself where you're making it sound like I don't love you. You want an example of a real burden. How's Harington for an example ok?

You laughed a little making him smile.

Eddie: I love you, and that's not changing. Even if you lose all of your limbs and I have to take care of you, I'd carry you around everywhere with me and wait on you night and day. My love for you is never changing ok darling?

You looked at him and nodded while smiling at his beautifully put words. You went to reach for his face to kiss him but was soon reminded of all of the blisters as they stung the second you started moving your hands. You let out a quiet 'ouch' and winced. Eddie kissed you anyway and made you forget about the pain..

Eddie: all better love?
His face was still close to yours with your forehead touching.

Y/n: much, I love you too by the way.

Your noses were now just touching he reached his hand up to your face and kissed you again before saying

Eddie: so what kind of tea do you want?
