It's been a few weeks in to being at Hawkins and you love it. You and Steve have become best friends at this point. . He pretty much knows everything about you, and same with him. And Robin and Nancy were really great friends too. You couldn't ask for better. In fact the four of you had a movie night which turned into "blanket of truth night" where you can choose something to tell to the group. You told them about your past. Practically everything. But there was something you left out, that only Steve knew. About your Ex...

The last bell of the day rings. And your at your locker packing up. Then SLAM

Y/n: Dustin you scared the crap out of me! You know you can walk home?!?

Dustin: geez sorry, I just wanted to let you know that Eddie and I are working on the campaign tonight for our next Dnd game. So can you pick me up from school around 5?

Y/n: sure but if I have to wait your walking

Dustin: ugh I'll be on time!

You rush over to Robin and Nancy

Y/n: hey! You guys want to do something later? I gotta pick up my brother at school after his dnd thing but I'm free till then?

Robin: Yeah!!

Nancy: Cool what do you guys wanna do?

Y/n: Mall?

Robin: sure!

Nancy: sounds good to me

The three of you spent the afternoon at the mall. Got ice cream, tried on some ridiculously over priced dresses... then got kicked out of the dress store. And finished off the day with heading to the video store to mess with Steve.

After another hour you looked down at your watch - 4:45

Y/n: shit! I gotta go pick up Dustin

You say goodbye and head back to the school to pick up your brother. And mentally prepared yourself to see Eddie. It's been weeks of sitting at the lunch table, exchanging glances, Dustin relentlessly mocking you, and Eddie never brought up the phone number thing. Maybe it wasn't meant for you, and you miss read signals. Maybe there's another girl he likes that he was supposed to give it to. Your thoughts were driven to a halt by  Dustin walking out with Eddie. You get out of your car to seem cool and the two of them walk up towards you, and you feel butterflies.

Dustin: that was an awesome campaign pitch Eddie I can't wait to see how it plays out.

Eddie didn't say much to Dustin, he just looked at you.  Slightly taken aback, you become self conscious.  But tried to play it cool.

Dustin: see what'd I tell you I was right on time

Y/n: Lucky you, now you don't have to walk home.

Dustin got in the car and Eddie was still standing there.

Y/n: Eddie? Eddie?

Eddie: what? oh yeah, see you guys tomorrow.

Dustin unrolled the window and Eddie crouched down and it looked like they were having a pretty important conversation, though they looked like two cheerleaders gossiping.

**Eddie's Pov**
I had just finished pitching my campaign to Dustin and the clock read 4:59.

Dustin: shit shit shit, if I don't get to the parking lot on time my sister's gonna drive without me.

Eddie: c'mon man she was probably just kidding. I'll walk you to the parking lot.

Dustin: oh you don't have to, and no she doesn't kid about that. She's pretty scary.

I shook the comment off and as I was walking out the door saw you. I knew you were the most extraordinary girl I'd ever met.

Dustin: eew dude are you staring at y/n?

I couldn't answer I was mesmerized by you. I started subconsciously walking to the car while you and Dustin made some sibling like remarks to each other. Then you snapped me out of my fog.

Eddie: what? oh yeah, see you guys tomorrow.

I crouched down to talk to Dustin

Eddie: I I can't do it

Dustin: duuude don't make me do it for you

Eddie: I just I wanna know what she really thinks about me first

Dustin: so you want me to spy?

I nodded

Dustin: well i spy with my little eye two people who DEFINITELY LIKE EACH OTHER AND ARE TOO SCARED TO ADMIT IT.

Eddie: DUSTIN
I said through my teeth.

--Your Pov--

Dustin practically screamed those words, and your anxiety couldn't handle it. You were blushing so hard your whole face was red.

Eddie: nvm Dustin I got my answer.

You saw Eddie wink at Dustin and then walk around the car to you. You were still leaning on the door outside trying to stay as calm as possible. You heard Eddie clear his throat.

Eddie: ahem, so uhh Ms Henderson I i was wondering if you know maybe some time you'd want to I don't know hang out?

Y/n: me and you?

Eddie: yeah me and you. Is me and you a problem?

Y/n: pick me up tomorrow at 6

Eddie: yeah totally

Dustin: you're really bad at this Eddie

You laugh and get in your car. 

You pull out of the school parking lot and head home.
