"To think, the anniversary of the school I built to prevent more keishins ended up being the day one was revived." Lord Death gazed mournfully up at his academy from behind the broken mask. "Things are gonna get a lot busier around here." I only hope Kid will stay safe.

Three figures stood on a rock, miles from Death City, but with the barren landscape they could still watch it's destruction. "We should be safe now!" Eruka cheered, petting the giant tadpole beside her. It's clown face grinned.
"Who are you anyway," Free asked, turning to the tall pink haired woman in striped...clothes.
"A combination of the five Mizune sisters."
He eyed her up and down, from the mouse styled witch hat to her boots. "I see." He did not.
Tadpole Jackson's eyes went sleepy at the hand stroking it's face. "I can't sense the witch Medusa's powers," Eruka commented. "That's a relief. It's just too bad I didn't get to see her die. She was a nightmare, especially for what she did to those poor kids, but in a way I did look up to her. There aren't many witches out there of her caliber. Funny, huh?"

Medusa lay weary eyed and battered on the freezing cement floor she and Stein had dueled on. A hardly lit cigarette was thrown away, bouncing off the ground beside her unmoving head. Stein turned away from the witch, lowering his eyes in regret for all he didn't have time to do. "It looks like Lord Death and the Keishin are fighting it out." He really couldn't care less at the moment. The battle had been too quick. Life threatening, yes, but he wouldn't have had it any other way, and yet, he didn't think there could ever be enough time or life in the wretched creature for all he wanted to avenge. "But the madness is fading now. He escaped?" Inky black vectors slithered along the floor. "I wish I could have seen it."
He could feel his scythe's regret at having left Lord Death. "We could have stopped him. This isn't good, I bet everyone's gonna blame me."
"There's no point crying over spilled milk. This isn't over yet; if we don't find a way to fix this, then the world will be in grave trouble."
He let out an 'ouh!" as the poised arrows struck, swiftly wrapping the doctor from head to toe. Even without half her body, Medusa leapt upon the man, clinging to his back with the arrows and sinking her fangs into his neck.
"Stein!"
"Damn!"
He thrashed, rushing to throw her off and harshly back down to the floor, arrows dissipating. She laid there for a moment, then twisted her head back with snakelike smile. "I love you, you know."
With an enraged cry he drove the scythe through the remains of her body, again and again, and again.

Early the next morning, a tall blonde man set his gaze upon Death City. Music blared in his ears as he knelt, reverently, to graze his hand upon the earth. "Oh Lord," he prayed. "Please give the people comfortable lives and deaths."
Blackstar was ignoring her. No, actually to put it more accurately, Blackstar was furious at her. At least, she assumed so. The invitation to play basketball with the gang today came from Tsubaki, and all the while Blackstar was either turning away from Anara or glaring. He couldn't just be simply angry, otherwise they'd undoubtedly be fighting right now. They should be fighting right now anyway, that was just how Blackstar resolved issues, especially when he was upset with someone, and yet he didn't make a move to engage Anara at all. He didn't even speak to her.
