If everyone else was getting so close to becoming Death Scythes, Anara figured she should get a move on too, but none of the jobs on the board interested her. They either sounded boring, or she knew they would be to easy. What a pain... Whatever, there might be something new today. Either way, this time I refuse to leave without taking a job! With her declaration in mind she marched up to the board and started scanning. Meh....nope....lame....been there..... Suddenly, one caught her eye. The pyramid of Anubis!! I've always wanted to go see the pyramids!! And if the DWMA is paying for trip and I'm going to eliminate a kishin soul dad will have no reason to object!!  She hadn't even passed the first quarter of the board before attaching a "working" tag to the job description. Perfect! It was the perfect job! That was the only way she could describe it. Not only would she probably be able to collect the rest of the kishin souls she needed with all the mummies, but get the witch soul as well! Anara was confident she wouldn't be making the same mistake as Maka and Soul. Not even an abnormally powerful animal would be strong enough to raise the dead. Necromancer, your going down!

3rd person: DWMA

Blackstar yawned, stretching his arms behind his head. the raven haired girl next to him, Tsubaki, raised her head towards the large gathering of people in front of them.

"What's going on there?" She asked.

"Hey, Soul, Maka," Blackstar called to his friends. Maka replied for the both of them as Soul and Blackstar high-fived.

"Oh, hey guys, good morning!"

Morning Maka, Soul. Why is everyone down here?" Tsubaki asked politely.

"Seriously? You mean you haven't heard yet?" Soul looked slightly annoyed. "This is kind of a hot topic around here right now." Blackstar laughed.

"Oh I get it! Everyone's scared of what a big star I'm becoming huh!" He exclaimed, egotistical as always.

"Not quite Blackstar, it has nothing to do with you," The scythe explained flatly about a stranger taking on a really difficult mission. "For another thing, someone messed up and posted the job twice! Anara took the other one."

"No way!" Tsubaki exclaimed. "I hope she will be alright."

"I'm sure she will be fine, but what about when one of them gets there and it's already done? Or if they get there at the same time? I wonder what will happen?"

Anara: Back entrance to the pyramid of Anubis:

The young golden haired witch marveled at the pyramid towering above her. Even though she hadn't seen the front yet, having decided to go around the back to hopefully have the element of surprise, she was awed by the ancient structure in front of her. She couldn't wait to get this job done and explore! She was also very glad she had studied the pyramids before coming to make certain she wouldn't get lost. Otherwise, she never would have known about this second entrance.

She summoned the weapon she used most often. An axe that came just above her shoulder from the ground, with a long golden shaft that wound up in intricate designs around the shoulder butt of the weapon. It had a large blade made of polished obsidian, with another, smaller blade like a spear at the other end. It had no grip, but that allowed her to hold it wherever was most convenient at the time.

Glad to finally be here, now I can take off these stupid shoes! She let the boots her father made her wear dissipate into sparkles as she stepped onto the hard floor of the tomb. As much as she agreed with him about not wanting to get stung by scorpions, she still hated wearing shoes.

----

The first group of mummies she encountered was small. They were rather top-heavy, completely wrapped in old bandages (obviously) and each had on a smiling mask with small eyes, chipped around the edges. Awww...they're actually kinda cute! Maybe I can immobilize one and take it home as a pet or something! The mummies made a creepy giggling sound like digital whispers. Anara giggled along with them. Suddenly, the one standing closest to her opened its mouth displaying a large tongue and teeth, blood spraying from it's eye holes. Anara jumped back, disgusted. Now all of them were open mouthed and ready to attack. She growled.

"This is how it is huh?! Fine then, we're breaking up. So sorry, but don't worry, its not me--it's you!" She lunged at them and slipped in between their ranks, whipping her axe around in a wave of death. These things weren't very agile, and every one of them went down quickly. She let her weapon disappear and sucked all the souls towards her. Ugh...This is the worst part about big jobs, I feel like a fucking vacuum cleaner. Damn though, she didn't even break a sweat here. That witch had better put up a good fight to make up for it.

-----

Annoyingly enough Anara only met with one other group of mummies, who this time she didn't hesitate to destroy, but hopefully that meant her idea worked. You don't need guards at a back entrance nobody knows exists! Finally, she found a doorway glowing with light. Yes, this must be the center where her target awaits! She stepped through to find-

Two girls, both shades of blonde all wrapped up in bandages stemming from the giant sarcophagus at the wall to her left. She stumbled back a little, face heating up like the desert outside. WHAT THE HELL!? I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR A PERVY MUMMY!!

An awkward voice from the opposite side of the room made her turn her head. "Didn't mean to intrude!" A boy with black hair quickly turned away and started making his way back out again before the taller girl yelled at him. Well at least I know this isn't his doing. And that he's a decent guy, others might have totally taken advantage of their situation.

"HEY HEY HEY HEY!!" The bandages that weren't holding the girls twisted into drills and lunged at the boy who deflected them with a skateboard Anara hadn't noticed before.

"What is this? You two hurry up and switch to weapon form!" He demanded. The same girl spoke again.

"Our powers don't work wrapped up in these bandages!"

Weapon form? They must be meister and weapon partners! Or trio? Interesting...But why are they here? This is my job! Anara silently debated between staying hidden to gather more info or go out to take her job back, but when she looked up again the boy was hunched over with twin pistols in his hands, the girls nowhere to be seen, and a giant bandage fist flying at him. Why the hell wasn't he moving?? Anara didn't have a choice now. Without thinking she leapt in front of him deflecting the fist with the blade of her axe. It exploded and reformed into another one coming at them from the side. Then another and another. The voices of the two girls yelled at the boy from the guns.

"Shit!" Anara couldn't keep up while she had to stay between the boy and the mummy. One fist at last, slammed her in the chest and knocked them all backwards. Anara flipped and landed on her feet behind the boy who was now sprawled on his back. He didn't seem to notice anything around him. What was wrong with him?! He muttered something his savior didn't hear. Something about perfectly symmetrical? Someone yelled. Anara jumped in front of him again to protect him from more attacks, switching to a double sided scythe, destroying bandages, drills and more fists. Dammit! I need to finish this guy but I can't opt for a long range weapon or I'll get hit! But if I leave and attack up close this boy will die! I'm trapped! She considered screaming at him to get up and at least move out of the way, but before she could a booming voice echoed from the sarcophagus and a huge hammer plunged down to her.

"THE WRATH OF THE PHARAOH!" Even against all her strength the hammer knocked her down. Her weapon dissipated into green sparkles. "WRATH! WRATH! WRATH! WRATH!" No matter how many times she tried to get up she was slammed down again and the hammer pounded both meisters, side by side. They both began to cough up blood every time they were hit. The pharaoh kept chanting. As the hammer raised up again for what seemed like the hundredth time, she chose another tactic. Summoning two large knives she held them defensively against her chest, blade up, and waited for the next blow, eyes squeezed tightly shut.

Oh God I hope this works...
