Song - The 1 - Taylor Swift & Mirrorball - Taylor Swift

Everyone is in shock that El is back and they talk amongst themselves but I just look at Steve confused. Where has she been? She is gone for a year and then all of the sudden she shows up out of the clear blue when we need her the most. Something is fishy here.

Everything escalates extremely quickly and it's not long before Mike hits Hopper and I visibly flinch in shock.

"Hey!" He yells at Mike and grabs him by the collar of his shirt. "Let's talk. Alone."

There is the slight noise of Mike yelling and everyone is in the living room silently listening in even though we probably shouldn't. I chew at my fingernails. Usually, this habit only comes out when I am nervous but so much has happened that I guess this time it is just out of pure and utter shock and disbelief.

The yelling settles down rather quickly and El starts reuniting with everyone and hugging everyone. I am a little confused when El turns down a handshake from Max and pushes her way past her. I push the confusion to the back of my head seeing as that is the least of my worries right now. Joyce leads El to where Will sleeps on his bed.

"It's not like it was before. It's grown. A lot. And I mean, that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs."

"Demo-dogs." Dustin corrects Hopper who sighs at the table once more.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"I said, uh, demo-dogs. Like Demogorgon and dogs. You put them together, it sounds pretty badass-"

"How is this important right now?"

"It's not. I'm sorry."

"I can do it." Eleven looks up from the ground.

"You're not hearing me." Hopper shakes his head.

"I'm hearing you, I can do it."

"Even if El can there's still another problem. If the brain dies, the body dies." Mike worries.

"I thought that was the whole point." I blink.

"it is, but if we're really right about this, I mean, if El closes the gate and kills the mind flayer's army," He answers.

"Will's a part of that army." Lucas finishes.

"Closing the gate will kill him."

Joyce looks as though a literal light bulb has just lit up in her head and silently she stands up and we all follow her to Will's bedroom.

"He likes it cold." She mumbles.

"What?" Hopper questions, looking for more information.

"It's what Will kept telling me. He likes it cold." She rushes over to the window and shuts it. "We keep giving it what it wants!"

"And if this really is a virus, and Will's the host, then..." Nancy connects.

"Then we need to make the host unhabitable." Jonathan continues.

"So if he likes it cold then..."

"We need to burn it out of him." Joyce frowns.
