It takes a while before the chief gets to the station with Joyce but when she does we tell him the whole story.  Jonathon brings out the photo and hands it to him.

"You say blood draws this thing?"

"We don't know." Jonathan responds.

"It's just a theory." Nancy sighs.

"We've done research on other animals so it makes sense. Even if this thing isn't an animal it still has characteristics like one." I add.

Joyce pulls Jonathan out into the hallway and me and Nancy are left with Chief Hopper. He leaves before too long though because there is a fight in another part of the office.

Because we talked to the police we are now allowed to leave and we all go our separate ways. But when we are almost out the door we are stopped. Jonathan and Nancy have to stay with them because there's a girl who apparently has mind powers that is hanging out with Mike.

What the hell is my life?

On my way back home I pass the cinema where I see Steve cleaning up the sign.

"Someone pay you to clean this up?" I yell up at him.

"What do you want y/n?"

"I want to talk. You owe me. You parents would be pissed if they knew what happened!"

He nods and steps down.

"I'm going to tell you what happened last night. When you saw Nancy and Jonathan."

"Alright spill."

"Before I say anything I want you to know I'm doing this for Nancy. Not for you. I hate your guts and I'm not doing this for your sake in the relationship I'm doing it for hers."

"Alright..."

"Last night what you saw was Jonathan and Nancy yes in her room. What you didn't see was me downstairs cooking dinner because Nancy was having a hard time with all this stuff with Will. It's not like they were alone together. I was gone for 5 minutes to get some macaroni salad for the 3 of us. Nothing happened at all between Nancy and Jonathan. Nancy actually asked me last night if me and him were dating."

"Oh... Well-"

"The answer is no never in a million years would I date him not that that informations is of any use to you but yeah. For the sake of all of us just fucking apologize to her and stop being a shithead."

"Okay."

"Okay?"

"Yeah I'll apologize. I don't trust him but I trust you enough to believe your telling me the truth."

"Oh thank god." I say and walk off.

"Tomorrow I better hear news that you apologized." I say to him before getting to far out or earshot. He holds a thumbs up and I thumbs up back.

I get bored pretty quickly at my house so I got to the place I know everyone will be. Jonathan's house.

When I arrive everyone pulls me outside and shush me. I quickly realize it's because of the girl with a shaven head trying to do something on the walkie talkie.

I sit at the table and everyone updates me on how her powers work and I surprisingly get it very fast.

Before I know it we're on our way to the school to get 1500 pounds of salt. I never thought in my life I would be doing this. I listen to Jonathan and Hopper talk while I help load salt into the car.

Before I knew it we are at the school and filling a kiddie pool with salt.

When the egg we've been testing the water with floats Eleven gets ready and gets into the pool. I watch very carefully. This all captivates me.

It's all very quiet until we hear from her.

"Barbara." Then she starts breathing heavily.

"What's going on?" Nancy asks.

"I don't know." Mike responds.

"Is Barb okay? Is she okay?"

Then all we hear from Eleven is "Gone." Repeated multiple times. "Gone. Gone. Gone." But Joyce is quick to reassure her. Then we hear something else.

"Castle Byers. Will."

Joyce gasps.

"You tell him I'm coming. Mom is coming."

"Your mom. She's coming for you."

"Hurry." Comes out of the walkie talkie and im shocked.

"Okay listen you tell him to stay where he is. We're coming. Okay? We're coming, honey."

"Just hold on a little longer. Will. Will." She repeats. Then she sits up and starts breathing heavily but once again Joyce is quick to hold her and tell her it's okay.

Me and Nancy sit against a wall with a giant tiger painting on it and soon Jonathan meets up with us.

"We have to back to the station." Nancy says.

"What?" He questions.

"Your mom and Hopper are just walking in there like bait. That thing is still in there. And we can't just sit here and let it get them too. We can't."

"You still wanna try it out?"

"I wanna finish what we started. I want to kill it."

So we go back to the station and very quietly get all of our weapons and such. Nancy grabs a fire extinguisher off the walls and then we are out of there on our way back to Joyce's house.
