Chapter 3: Start
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶

Chenle walked side by side with Sungchan, on the way to the taller's house. Sungchan was rambling something about their basketball team, which Chenle learned he was the captain of, since mark and Jeno stopped playing last year.

But Chenle's head was somewhere else. It still lingered onto jisungs hold from this morning, his soft but deep voice, and his scent. Chenle couldn't get him out of his head.

"Chenle? Are you listening?" Sungchan asked, not feeling all that mad. He found unfocused Chenle kinda cute actually.

"Uh— sorry. I'm just somewhere else today" he gave a tight lipped smile. It was only the fourth day of school, he already had an assignment to work on, and the boy he used to love is doing things to his heart all over again.

"Don't worry. It's cute" Sungchan smiled. Chenle felt his cheeks go red, he was never good at handling compliments.

"Anyways— we're here" the older took his keys out, unlocking the door to the blueish house.

Chenle wasn't going to lie, it was a really nice house. It had the homey vibe his own never had.

"My parents are both at work right now, so we can work on it for like three hours, unless you have to be home earlier" Sungchan suggested, only receiving a court nod from Chenle who was still looking around.

"So you were short once upon a time!" Chenle exclaimed, pointing at a picture of young Sungchan playing soccer.

"I was still the tallest" he crossed his arms, chuckling.

"Anyways— we should start" they started pretty well, both of them having similar thoughts about the ending result, so it was kinda easy to coordinate everything. After about two hours, they decided to take a break. Kinda because Chenle has been whining about his back hurting from leaning over the table to write on his paper.

"Do you want something to eat?" Sungchan asked, grabbing the empty cans of cola on the table to throw them away.

"Sure!"

"What you wanna eat? I have everything" Sungchan shouted from the kitchen.

"I eat everything! You choose!" Chenle shouted back, taking his phone and scrolling through Instagram.

"What ya doing?" The taller came back, a small plate of cupcakes in his right hand while he held other two drinks in the other.

"Scrolling through insta" Chenle shrugged.

Sungchan's eyes lit up, quickly remembering something. He put down the things he was holding and took out his phone, plopping down next to Chenle and giving him his phone with Instagram opened.

"Type in your user I want to follow you!"

Chenle did as asked, handing back Sungchan's phone and following him back after.

Chenle nearly dropped his phone. Of course. Of fucking course. The first person to appear on 'suggested' was none other than Park Jisung.

But for once, he choose to be the brave one. (If that could even be considered being brave) he followed Jisung, putting his phone away and choosing to check It only later in the evening.

Wordlessly, Sungchan handed him a cupcake which Chenle gladly accepted, taking a big bite out of it.

"These are so good!" He complimented, taking another bite.

"Thanks! It's a random receipt my grandma gave me, I tried baking them yesterday because I was bored" Sungchan shrugged, a shy smile on his face.

"You're a really good baker!"

"Uhm— Chenle- you have a bit of frosting on your mouth" the brunette cleared his throat, pointing at Chenle's mouth. He was trying hard to avert his eyes from it.

Sungchan what the fuck you met him not even one week ago!

But he's so pretty—

"Oh—" Chenle wiped his mouth, but not completely since the frosting was still there.

"Can I?" Sungchan asked, Chenle hesitantly nodded, not really understanding what Sungchan was implying.

The older took a tissue, holding up and inching closer to Chenle's mouth, quickly, he wiped it. He retreated his hand, but his face had stayed as close as it was before. Sungchan shook oht of his thoughts, quickly going back to his place.

"We- we should restart working"

Chenle had ran home. And guess why? Because he promised himself not to check his phone until he was home, and now that he was, shoes carelessly thrown in his room, he jumped on the bed, taking a deep breath before turning on his phone.

He was dying to know if Jisung had followed him back.

As soon as it was turned on, he went to Instagram, his smile faltering once he didn't notice any new notification. He sighed. Why was he even expecting something?

But there was something. Not from Jisung, but form Sungchan.

It read; 'I had fun today! I forgot to ask you for your phone number but i suppose we can also text here.'

'Tell me when you're free for the next meet up!'

'Have a good night 💕'

And Chenle felt his heart melt. Sungchan was a really nice boy.

And like that, Chenle passed out on his bed, phone laying on his stomach.

It was around 11pm when Chenle woke up, realizing he had fallen asleep with his jeans still on. He groaned, standing up and taking off his jeans, throwing on a random pair of sweatpants and threw himself back in bed.

He took his phone and connected it to the charger.

It lit up. An Instagram notification.

@parksung followed you back!

@parksung sent you a message!

Chenle never clicked so fast on something in his whole life.

Jisung

Hey uhm
Sorry for responding so late, I didn't check my phone since this morning.
You're probably sleeping so, Goodnight :)

Chenle couldn't even get himself to text back, the simple smiley making his heart beat out of his chest.

I guess trying to forget him for the past two years didn't really work.

After all, he's Park Jisung. How do you stop loving him?
