Chapter 9: Start

"Chenle? You okay? You're spacing out a lot" Sungchan worriedly placed a hand on Chenle's shoulder.
Their project was now officially done. They just had to practice the presentation.
Sungchan was kinda sad about it, because it meant spending less time with Chenle. But he was still going to ask the younger to hang out of course. He wanted to spend a lot of time with his newfound crush
"Oh- I'm alright.. just thinking" Chenle sent him a tight lipped smile, tapping something on his computer before Sungchan took it away and placed it on the coffee table.
The taller stood up, clicked something right under the TV and handed Chenle a controller.
"Let's game a little, we've been working too much." Sungchan smiled at him, and Chenle shouted out of happiness.
Before either of the boys realized what time it was, Sungchans parents walked through the door. "Sungchan! You didn't tell me you had a friend over!" Mrs. Jung exclaimed, placing down the bags she was previously holding to greet Chenle.
"Hello, Mrs. Jung. I'm Chenle" he smiled, bowing politely.
"What a sweetie! Would you like to stay for dinner? I was planning to prepare my best dish!" She asked, but to Chenle it sounded more like he didn't have a choice to disagree.
"Mom—" Sungchan tried to speak. "Nope, don't wanna hear it. I asked Chenle not you"
"I will text my mom but I'm pretty sure I can stay" Chenle smiled, and Mrs. Jung clapped happily, leaving the two boys to go prepare the dinner.
"Nice to meet you, Chenle" Mr. Jung waved at him, and Chenle felt like he was the chill parent between the two.
"Likewise"
"I'm going to help your mom, try cleaning up a bit" Sungchans dad chuckled, "of course I'm telling Sungchan to clean, you relax" He turned towards Chenle.
The younger boy laughed, jokingly telling Sungchan to hurry up.
