Chapter 13 - The Green Ninja

Ever since Lord Garmadon has become our roommate, or the boys roommate at least, the Bounty has definitely been a lot more chaotic and unsettled. I mean, Garmadon isn't that bad of a roommate, especially when he isn't sleeping in your room, he's just a little.. evil. For instance, during the night he'll use his dark powers or whatever to keep the whole ship up all night! Except for maybe Sensei, but still! And the stuff he eats looks like mud jelly mixed with slimy grubs. It's disgusting especially when you're trying to enjoy Zane's night of cooking or trying to eat Cole's cooking. But other than that, he's actually not that bad.

Recently though, we've just been told by Zane's falcon that he has spotted the Serpentine heading towards the volcano where we first found Kai's Golden Weapon. Which can only mean that they've found the next location of the third Fang Blade. But what's more important than that is they also have Lloyd, in a hanging cage with them.

"Sounds like we've finally reached our destination." Cole states as we're all still in the room where Kai had another brawl with Lord Garmadon.

We all run out from the room and onto the deck of the Bounty to see that we are only a few kilometers away from the volcano, temple thing. "The Fire Temple." Cole states once again but this time it was as if he was reading my mind.

"The volcano seems to be on the verge of eruption, guys. All recent indicators tell me that this place is becoming more increasingly fragile. Even the smallest rupture can make the whole thing go off." Nya informs us from over the radio. "Then we must not use our weapons." Sensei tells us 5 ninja as we put them away.

"Going into a very hot and dangerous place, full of snakes and we can't even fight them off using our weapons? I really don't like our chances of making it out in one piece." I comment walking in between Cole and Jay while Kai trails far behind.

"Don't worry kiddo, we'll all make it out fine with both Lloyd and that Fang Blade." Cole reassures me.

"Nah, I think I'm with Y/n on this one." Jay says putting in his opinion. "Jay." Cole replies dragging out Jay's name. "What? I do."

"Kai." Nya says through the radio to her brother as she's probably able to see through Zane's falcon vision. "Yeah, yeah. No fire sword. But only because I wouldn't want anything to prevent us from getting that Fang Blade." Kai says knowing the conditions.

"Or my son." Garmadon then adds on.

"There. The Serpentine must be inside the inner core. From here on out, we travel by shadows." Sensei Wu states as he lets us all run in before him. "That's the only way I know how." Garmadon comments as we continue to run further into the volcano.

We eventually find a small entrance at the end of the tunnel that leads into the mine that the Serpentine are digging in. "There!" I call out in a whisper to others. "Son!" Garmadon gasps still in a whisper as the others also spot Lloyd in a cage guarded by a Fangpyre.

There's suddenly a clanging sound of metal hitting metal and Pythor yelling at one of the Hypnobrai, "Get out of my way you fool!"

As Pythor and all the other Serpentine are distracted, the two brothers, the ninja and I make our way down the rocky wall surrounding the lava within the volcano.

"The third Fang Blade is ours!" Pythor yells just before the Serpentine followers cheer as they probably no longer have to dig for it anymore. And probably because they're getting closer to releasing the great devourer but I think it's more the first option.

We continue to sneakily make our way over to Pythor, that is until he spotted us in the reflection of the Fang Blade.

"Attack!" Yells Pythor to his Serpentine servants or army. "Light as a leaf! Attack like there's no tomorrow!" Sensei Wu cries as we all do as he commands.
