Chapter 4 - Lord Garmadon

It's the fourth night that we've been away from the monastery and so far we only have 4 out of the 5 Golden Weapons. The Golden Weapons are; the scythe of quakes, shurikens of ice, nunchucks of lightning, and the bow and arrow of wind. Which leaves the sword of fire.

Currently, the ninja and I are celebrating that we have 4 of the Golden Weapons in our possession around a small campfire for the night. While Cole plays the bongos the rest of us dance, or at least try to. "Come on Sensei, join us!" Kai asks our teacher as he tries and meditates. I really have no clue how he stays so peaceful for so long while trying to meditate with bongos blaring right into his ears.

"There is still 1 weapon left! We must get our sleep." Sensei replies very strictly. I've never heard Sensei Wu speak to us like that before in that tone of voice unless it's very serious or we f*cked up really bad. "Ah Sensei! Look you gotta admit, we're kicking their bong butts."

"Get up here and show us some moves." Kai encourages Sensei as I mentally begin to agree with Sensei considering I'm still fairly young and should be getting somewhat decent sleep. Not that ever really have, but still!

"Hmm, I guess I could. Now this move is very special." Sensei finally agrees to and stand up and gets into his position. "But if done incorrectly, will it lead to disastrous consequences?" Zane ponders aloud which we all laugh to.

"Zane is that a joke? A sense of humour, you've found it." Kai admits as we continue laughing. Cole begins to play the bongos again in a sort of catchy rhythm and Sensei begins to dance. "Shake what your mama gave you." Sensei sings as he moves his ass in a dancing way. "Yeah, look at this one now." Sensei continues to sing as he moves his long, white moustache around making himself look ridiculous. "Spin round yeah, I put my feet." And soon enough, Kai, Jay and I all begin to dance like Sensei.

*Time skip*

"Kai, Kai, Kai, I have to go." Says a mysterious woman's voice. "Nya wait up!" I then hear Kai yell out to the mysterious woman. Opening my eyes, I look around but Kai isn't there. But I am able to find his foot prints so I get up and run after him.

The tracks the come to a stop as I come across a stone bridge which leads to a volcano. At the very entrance of the volcano, I can barely make out a figure wearing red. My only guess is that it's probably Kai in his red gi so I run across the bridge and watch as Kai enters the volcano.

"Kai!" I hear the woman's voice again.

"Nya!" And there's Kai's again. Nya must be Kai's sister. I also enter the volcano and watch as girl, probably no younger than a year or two younger than Kai, dangles over the top of lava by a chain.

"If you don't remove the sword, how else are you going to cut the chains to save your precious little sister?" A dark and mysterious male voice says. Garmadon. I instantly think. Going further into the volcano, I see a shadow of what also seems to prove my theory of Garmadon's voice.

"You know it's a trap. I can free myself." Nya says confidently until she tries to free or loosen herself from the chain but fails. "Okay that's tight." Nya is then lowered nearer to the lava as Garmadon says, "Tick tock, tick tock."

"Kai let me help you!" I yell somewhat quietly and he snaps his head straight towards me. "What are you doing here Y/n?" He says as he now has to worry about me, saving his sister, and retrieving the sword of fire, the final Golden Weapon. "I followed you just in case you needed help." I respond as Kai leads me over to one of the edges inside the volcano.

"Alright, just stay here. Only help if you need to which I really doubt you will." The red ninja explains then runs back off to pull out the Golden Weapon and free his sister. Once he retrieves the weapon, he begins performing his spinjitsu and spins his way over to his sister and cuts her loose. They then fall onto the platform that I'm on and I scurry towards them, trying to stay a safe ways away from Garmadon.

"Stay close." Kai demands at both me and Nya. "Trust me, I'm not going anywhere." Nya replies still in fear and probably shock of where she was a few moments ago.

"You can't hurt us, you're only a shadow!" Kai yells out to Garmadon pulling the sword of fire out towards the evil lord. "Even shadows have their uses." Garmadon replies evilly making my skin crawl with fear.

"Kai look out!" I yell as Garmadon turns himself into a more human like shadow. "Stay back Nya." Kai demands again as I stay in front of just in case anything else comes our way. "Stay close, stay back, make up your mind!" Nya replies trying to act annoyed.

Kai then tries to attack shadow Garmadon but fails and instead Garmadon is able to kick Kai down. "That's not fair." Nya inputs. And I thought I was the kid here. "Oh? Am I being too hard?" Garmadon replies again but this time he multiples himself. "You are now."I say popping out from behind the rock that Nya and I were hiding behind. I then grab the bow that was placed around my shoulder and get ready to try and fight shadow Garmadon.

"You brought a child to a fight?" Garmadon practically laughs. "Hey, she's better then what she looks." Kai tries to compliment. I have feeling that Kai won't ever be too good with words. The red ninja then tries to fight away the shadows but only gets his ass beaten again, this time dropping the sword of fire. I release a few arrows from the bow but all they do is go through the shadows and crack open once they reach the other end and hit the wall.

One of Garmadon's shadow's picks up the sword but just as he does, Sensei's shadow appears and begins fighting off the other shadows. Sensei Wu then makes an eagle shadow with his hands, scaring all of Garmadon's shadows away. One of the shadows must have dropped the sword of fire as Sensei now has it within his grasp.

"Brother, I see you protect 1 but what if the other 3.." Garmadon is then cut off by Sensei Wu's words. "They are safe! Far from your grasp Garmadon." Sensei replies confidently. "I wouldn't be so confident." Garmadon says as he shows us the other ninja being captured by the skeletons and the other 4 weapons being taken by Samukai.

"My brother must not unite the 5 weapons, we must keep them apart!" Sensei explains to us as he gestures for us to then follow him which we comply to.

"Awaken guardian of the deep! They're stealing the sword! You must not let them escape!" Garmadon yells out to presumably to the guardian dragon. The dragon's head appears before us and Sensei Wu jumps onto its head then back off as it fully appears. The dragon swipes its tail into the wall making loose rubble fall into the entry and exit of the volcano, blocking our way out.

"There's no way out, he's taken away all of our options." Kai states. I swear there is something wrong with the ninja stating the obvious. "All but one." Sensei responds, once again, cryptically. The older man then jumps down onto a small bit of rock and slices it off from the bigger part where the sword of fire once was placed. "Sensei what are you doing?" I ask calling out to him. "No you fool!" Garmadon also yells out.

"If he is to bring the other weapons here, then I will take the sword of fire to the underworld. It is my sacrifice to bare."

"No, it's mine. I shouldn't have come on my own, you don't have to do this, there has to be another way!" Kai yells out to our Sensei who nears closer and closer to the edge. I'm very tempted to kick Kai in the ass again for pretending that I'm not here but I can't find myself to do so right now.

As Sensei pulls out his teapot and fills his cup, he begins falling off the edge of the volcano down into the underworld. While Kai screams out no, I try hugging Nya which she realises and hugs be back as tears begin falling down my cheeks.

"Then I will see you there brother." Is Garmadon's final words before he also leaves.

"It's all my fault, Sensei won't be able to hold out that long." Kai falls onto his knees and begins blaming himself. "It's not just your fault, I also had the chance to warn the others but I didn't." I say letting go of Nya and walking a few baby steps over to Kai, and try to comfort him.

"Forget Sensei, what about us?" Nya questions as the dragon's head appears again and he roars out to us.
