Someone Like You (Lloyd x Reader)

Chapter 9 - Robot? Ninja? Nindroid

This is going to be a longer chapter so I hope you're ready to read! (Don't judge me on how cringy that was because I already know)

"10 minutes? He just broke his own record! The guy's inhuman!" Kai yells as I walk out from in the room area of the Bounty. "Wait, what's going on?" I ask curious.

"It's Zane! He's beat his own record!" Cole explains in shock. "In what?" I further question. "In breathing underwater!" Jay yells as Zane pops his head from out under the water. "Amazing! Cool!" The ninja start to yell while Jay bows down and says, "We're not worthy."

I help pull Zane from out of the water with Cole's help since he is much heavier because he has his gi on and it's soaked. "I beat the record?" Zane questions curiously to Kai holding the stop watch.

"You destroyed it!" Kai says showing Zane the watch.

"Ok, is anyone thinking what I'm thinking? We've been training for so long, I don't think we can get any better. I mean just think of all we've accomplished." Jay does make a good point. I then start thinking of what the rest of us 4 ninja have accomplished. First, there's Kai being able to run on still scorching hot coals. Then there's Jay holding himself up on one arm on top of a pole on one of the tallest skyscrapers in Ninjago City during a lightning storm. Cole tries to lift some weights but instead puts on an extra few discs making it at least 2x Cole's weight and he easily lifts it up. Oh and Jay and Nya are on either side holding their own small weights but Jay also has an extra cooked chicken on a plate making it that even more heavier. Then there's me sitting happily on the tallest mountain in Ninjago while birds have great difficulty just flying up. After sitting there in peace for a while I sky dive back down using my hood as a parachute when I near the ground. The cool thing is that most people would have difficulty getting up there and staying up there for so long as there's little oxygen yet my breathing was fine.

"The question should be raised, perhaps we've reached our full potential." Zane states while we all gather around in a semi circle. "Depends, have you guys gone all glowy yet like I did when I reached my full potential when saving Lloyd?" I ask only to remember that he's in the hands of Pythor once again.

Over the past few days maybe a week or two, Lloyd and I have become close friends as he's now living with us. And us ninja have also gotten new ninja outfits with more armour on them to protect us. But in that time, Pythor has united all five serpentine tribes and kidnapped Lloyd. Sensei Wu has gone on a trip to find Lloyd's father, Lord Garmadon, and hopefully he will help us retrieve his son. There's also something or someone called Samurai X who's been stealing our thunder making us practically useless! But all things aside, I was really missing Lloyd as we were really close friends, and still are. We're even the same age or close to the same age so we get along even easier.

I sigh and my smile turns into a frown as I think about Lloyd. "It's okay pip squeak, we'll get Lloyd back in one piece. Eventually." Kai whispers the last part while placing a comforting hand on my shoulder. I'm still able to hear Kai though. But my smile returns, sort of, at his positive words.

Zane, Jay, Kai, Cole, Nya and myself have been putting up the missing posters of the fang blades in hope that we will get to them before Pythor does.

"Uh, this is silly." Zane complains for once. "Hey, you have any better ideas?" Cole retorts back at Zane's complaint. "Maybe Sensei's gonna go get that Samurai for help." Jay suggests as Zane walks away as he's found something interesting. Or at least I think. "T-the samurai? I'm sure she's- I mean he's, busy looking for the Fang Blades as well." Kai stutters.
