Mila Moon - Seventeen 14th Member [2]

iLand - Enhypen

[A/N: this chapter will have mentions of Skye, which is a character from my up and coming Enhypen 8th member book. She will be replacing Hanbin for this stage, so apologies for any confusion!)

[3rd Person POV]
The I-Landers sat around in the main room as they await a message on the mini mission. Much to their surprise, the screen quickly flashes on, to reveal 5 familiar faces.
"Say the name! Seventeen! Hi, we're Seventeen!" The room erupts in excitement as they see the famous group on screen.
"We heard that you I-Landers will be covering our songs for this mini mission. With 'Pretty U' and 'Hit'." Hoshi says as the I-Landers continue to be shocked.

[Interview: Sunoo]
"This is just..what a real honour." He says, gobsmacked by the news.

"The 2 songs have a different feeling." Dino says before Jun continues.
"We'll tell you the different points about the songs. Firstly, Pretty U is the most bubbly song by Seventeen. It's a song where you have to focus on bubbly facial expressions." He says as the song plays for the I-Landers.
"And Hit is a powerful song filled with energy. The choreography is key." The8 finishes as Hit plays in the room.
"For the first place winners, there are huge benefits, so we hope you work hard on it." Mila smiles.
"We'll be visiting in 24 hours! Work hard okay?" Dino says.
"We'll now reveal the teams for both songs." Hoshi says before they all do their ending.
"Bye!" They all say before the screen switches, to reveal the teams for both songs.

Pretty U: Sunoo, Daniel, Sunghoon, Jungwon, Jake and Taki.
Hit: Niki, Heeseung, Jay, K and Skye.

[Interview: Sunoo]
"To be honest, I wanted to do Pretty U no matter what. I'm really good at being bubbly." He smiles.

[Interview: Taki]
"I think Pretty U will be good for me." He nods.

[Interview: Skye]
"I was hoping that I would be in the Pretty U team, since I think that concept suits me the most, but I don't mind! I'm excited to showcase a more powerful side of me!" She smiles.

[Interview: Sunghoon]
"When I imagined myself singing either of the songs...I'm not confident.." he says, unsure of the song choice he was given.

[Interview: Heeseung]
"My team is the one that is good at performance and dance, the members are very good dancers, so I wasn't so worried." He smiles at the camera.

"You may now practise for the mini mission with your team." The deep voice says as the countdown for 24 hours begins.

The Hit team sat around the IPad as they began to learn the dance, the powerful movements of the dance displayed in front of their eyes.
The chorus began to play, and all 5 members watched in awe at the dance practice.
"Wow Mila looks so cool." Jay says as the other members agree.
"She's definitely my favourite, I resonate with her right now." Skye says as she doesn't take her eyes off the screen.
"They're such good dancers, they're all beasts." Jay says as he stands up, leading the team to begin the rehearsal.

[Mila POV]
The 5 of us walk into the large I-Land building, where we are greeted with a huge egg looking contraption that was familiar to most of us, due to have seeing it when watching the show. We step inside and it suddenly starts to spin slowly, and we are greeted by the huge I-Land room.

"Jun, The8 and Mila, we have some foreign friends, you 3 should talk to them and give them lots of advice." Hoshi says and the 3 of us nod at his words.
"Also Mila, there's only 1 female participant in a competition full of boys, maybe you can talk to her about your experiences." He says looking at me and i nod my head with a smile.
As the door fully opens, we are greeted with a large practice room in front of us, where 4 boys and 1 girl stand in the middle of the room.

They instantly turn around to see us, and they bow quickly before scrambling to get everything tidy.
One runs out of the room, presumably to get the rest of the members, while the other 4 stand put. We walk towards the practice room as they move things out of the way, and we all enter with a bow and they quickly scramble together once again to greet us.

"How is practice going?" Hoshi asks and they all laugh nervously. The others then all run in and we all greet them with smiles and waves as they bow and gather together with the other members.
"We should say hi first." Minghao says and we all agree before doing our group greeting.
"Say the name! Seventeen! We're Seventeen!" We exclaim in unison as we gain an applause from the I-Landers.

"Oh we heard you did the test yesterday." Soonyoung begins and they all agree.
"So how long have you practiced?" He asks.
"About 8 hours?" One of them, who I believed was Jay, after watching a couple of episodes of the show, says.
"8 hours. Have you guys seen each other's performances?" Hoshi asks again, and they all say no.
"Okay, so this is going to be fun." He laughs before asking the Hit team to start their performance.

"You've got this!" I exclaim as they get in position. Their performance was close to perfect with their short practice time, and you can tell they had all practiced so much. They ended just before the second verse, and we all erupted into applause.
"They were so good." Jun says and we all agree.

"Niki, I really felt something in your gaze. It really made my gaze fall on you." Minghao says and he quickly bows in appreciation of the comment.
"I felt that Skye had very strong and sharp movements for this song, and to be honest I didn't expect to see this side of you, considering what I've seen in other episodes, but you really portrayed the emotions of this song well." I smile and she quickly bows with a huge smile on her face.
"The choreography for Hit is very difficult and you had such a short amount of time, it's amazing you got this far." Soonyoung says and they all bow in appreciation.

Next it was the Pretty U team, and just from the opener, i was hooked, they were adorable, but Hoshi was definitely the most excited out of everyone.
As Taki did his solo part, we were all more or less on the floor as we awe'd over him.
"Taki did his part with such ease." Chan says as he tried to imitate the move as everyone laughs.
"I love it! One more time!" I exclaim and Soonyoung joins me with the chanting.
They get back into places and he does it again, and we all applaud in awe once again.

"So we're done watching you guys dance. Do you guys know the Nano dance? We'll show you what it is." Hoshi says as they all look slightly confused.
He quickly demonstrates before the Pretty U team begin their Nano dance.
The order was, Jungwon - Sunoo - Jake - Sunghoon - Taki - Daniel.
They were the cutest, especially Sunoo and Daniel.

Next was the Hit team, and the order was Heeseung - Jay - Niki - K - Skye.
Heeseung made a mistake but carried on with a freestyle, which made us all laugh as he hip thrusted a lot. The other 4 did the dance perfectly as they previously had.
Hoshi pointed out that Jun and Jay looked similar, which I personally agreed with, and the 2 of them danced together, while Soonyoung just wanted to dance with Taki and Sunoo, which I joined in on, and stood next to Sunoo, who was now slightly flustered.
He hugged them both, as did I, which made the 2 younger boys very flustered as the other members made slight jokes about their red faces.
"Mila, you and Skye should dance together as the only girls." Dino points out and I get slightly excited as I agree, and walk towards the middle, as does she. We both dance to Hit perfectly as everyone applauds us, I give her a quick hug before she goes back to the group.

"Both the Hit and Pretty U team did a very good job within a short time, thank you so much!" Dino says as we all applauded their work.
"We'll announce the that won." Hoshi says, as the suspense builds up slightly.
"The time that won is.."
"Pretty U!" We all exclaim in unison, as the pretty u team bow towards us.

"Also, the first place I-Lander has a benefit. They'll pick the song for the 3rd test and their team members for this test." Hoshi says and they all look nervous.
"We picked..."
"Sunoo!" We all say in unison once again and he looks shocked as the members around him applaud him.

"Sunoo did great performing Pretty U." I say and he quickly thanks me with a red face.
"You guys are great! It was so fun, we'll see you guys on stage!"
We wave goodbye as they all bow and thank us as we leave in the egg we came in.

"Wow that was so cool!" Dino says.
"They did so well!" I say and everyone agrees.
"They were so cute too! Skye reminds me of a mini you." Soonyoung says and i nod my head.
"I really hope she debuts, I will protect her with my life."
