[Mila POV]
I stare at my phone in shock. I currently had an article up which had been sent into the 00' liner group chat, where everyone was asking me if I was okay or if this was true.

"Seventeen's Mingyu and Twice's Tzuyu seen on a romantic date. Are they the new celebrity 'IT' couple?"

I continue scrolling through the article, which was claiming that they had seen the 2 on a date at a restaurant near the JYP building last night. When last night Mingyu had gone for food with his 97' line friends, at least that's what he told me. The article then showed their photo evidence, and when I saw it, I knew it had to be fake. That was definitely Tzuyu, but you couldn't even see the guy's face, and his build looked nothing like Mingyu's. I scrolled down further to the comments, many clearly posted by Carats:

user1244: This is so obviously not real, Mingyu would never do that to Mila.

user 2371: Oh so Mingyu and Mila aren't together anymore? :(

user 1139: I can't imagine how Mila feels rn, do you guys think he cheated on her?

I quickly clicked off the article, before replying to the group chat, debunking the theory in the article. I then jump out of my bed and head towards the living room, where Wonwoo and Mingyu sat on the couch watching TV and playing on their phones.
"Hey, have you seen this?" I ask as I place my phone in front of Mingyu's face as he reads the article carefully.
"Oh just ignore that. You know what paparazzis are like these days." He dismisses it and he goes back to look at his phone.
"Well, shouldn't you tell the company deny it, since it's not true?" I ask as I delete the article from my safari app, but Mingyu doesn't even look up from his phone.

"No, it'll probably be better to leave it, leave the rumours die down." He says and Wonwoo looks at me with wide eyes and a confused expression on his face at his friends' words.
"But wouldn't that be confirming it? You know, some people in these comments really think you guys are dating." I reply, but he just sighs.
"Trust me, denying these rumours would only fuel the fire, let people believe what the want to believe." He laughs.
"It's almost like you want people to believe it." I reply with scoff, but he continues to look at his phone.
"Well it might give us a bit of attention. Any publicity is good publicity." He replies.
"Are you serious? People honestly think you cheated on me! Do you really want everyone to think that?" I reply, raising my voice slightly, and Wonwoo looks alarmed.

"You know what, maybe this is just a slight misunderstanding, let's just all calm down an-"

"If people want to think that, let them Mila! No one knows what's truly happening behind closed doors! They don't know us at all! If they want to think I cheated on you, let them think that! I don't care!" He yells back with the same tone, and his words broke my heart.
"So you don't care about me? Or how I feel at all? You would honestly let the world believe that you broke my heart all because it would be 'good publicity'?!" I yell back, and Wonwoo had now exited the room.
"I'm just trying to say we shouldn't interact with them and fuel the fire!" He yells back.

"Fine! Let them believe that we broke up! Because I'm done with your shit!" I yell, and as I walk towards the door, Seungcheol and Wonwoo stand in the door frame.
"I need to be alone." I say quietly as I walk past them and to my room. By now tears were spilling down my face as I rubbed my eyes in stress. I closed my bedroom door and laid in my bed surrounded by my comfy pillows, and quickly let sleep take over me.

I woke up to my phone blowing up with notifications. I rub my eyes tiredly, and look at the illuminated screen. The 00' liner group chat filled with more messages.

"Thank god he said something, you must have been stressed Mila." - Chaewon

"I honestly started panicking for a second, I thought you weren't telling us something." - Soobin

They posted their messages with a link to another article, which I quickly opened.

"HYBE deny dating rumours between Seventeen's Mingyu and Twice's Tzuyu."

HYBE Labels and Pledis Entertainment have just released a statement regarding the rumours between the 2 artists, and Seventeen's Mingyu even personally responded to these rumours. "The person in those photos is not me, I am still in a very serious and committed relationship with Mila, who I love very much, and this is not something that is going to change any time soon. Please respect our privacy, along with Twice and Tzuyu's too, thank you."

I stood up from my bed before making my way back to the living room, but as soon as I open the door, Mingyu is stood in the doorway.
"I'm sorry." We say simultaneously.
"Why are you sorry? I was totally in the wrong, I should have stood up about it as soon as I saw the article." He replies.
"I'm sorry for yelling and making you feel bad about it. You had a good point." I say as I look to the floor.
"I'm also sorry for saying that I'm done. I don't want to break up, I don't know why I said that." I say with tear filled eyes, worrying that this was it.
"Good, cause I don't want to break up either, I love you too much." He says before opening his arms, and engulfing me in a hug. I squeeze him tightly as he kisses my forehead.

"Do you want to go back to bed? I'm so tired." I laugh slightly and I feel him nod his head against my hair. I pull away gently before leading him to my bed, where we cuddle for the rest of the night.

"I hate when they fight. I'm glad they made up, I didn't know how to resolve it" Wonwoo says to Seungcheol as the 2 check on the couple, who were now fast asleep.
"It's fine, just couple bickering, they always make up." Seungcheol replies, and they both also head to bed.
