Kitchen Light - Xana

She got in my car...

After dinner, we sat in the living room and put some music on. At one point, Kitchen Light by Xana played. I love that song.

Said take me home...

I stood up and extended my hands to Valen, wishing her to dance with me.

Pulled up to her house,
but that's not what she wants...

She gave me a small, complying smile and followed me to what was now our dancefloor, making a coordinated wave with her body, which's flow continued until the beat dropped with:

We didn't even make it past the kitchen light.

In that verse, she stopped, raised her hands to her chest, as if she was grabbing something, and, with her eyes closed, sang along.

The music began once again and I started singing. You could break my heart.
In between verses; I know that you tried, I took the last hit on my almost burned-out cigarette and began making my way to the ashtray.

But I'm glued to my bed
when it's raining outside.

Before pushing the cigarette tail against the thousand small rocks in the cup, I closed my eyes, to block out my other senses, and allowed that line to fill me. Then I opened them back up and turned the cig off.

Since our last encounter...

I walked back to Valen's side and before I could reach her, can't stop thinking about how we fucked in the shower, she grabbed my hand and made me turn, as I chuckled. You're blushing your cheeks, I dropped my weight on her and she placed her hands on my waist, and I'm falling for it, I placed mine around her neck, 'cause everything sweet comes with a warning. We played a little waltz, her sharp breathing on my ear, and her delicate neck dangerously close to my lips, as the music disappeared for those few seconds and all that existed then was the tension her lips created on mine.

I can't be wrong to be...

I turned around and she wrapped the air around me with her hands.

Can't be wrong to be-
Can't be wrong to be craving you.

I raised my hands in the air and began a sweet dance.
Naomi and Augusto got up and joined us. Valen went to Naomi and grabbed her hand, since the other was busy with their cigarette, and they sang the remaining chorus together, as I sang along on my own.
Valen made her way to me, now you're at the bar, and grabbed my hand to the lyrics -holding his hand, but I can't be mad- let me go, and repeated the hands to her chest and eyes closed sequence, 'cause he's your man

But I could be handsome...

She grabbed my waist once more, pulled me closer, and sang the lyrics with the sweetest, most angelical voice possible.

I could be kind...

She placed her forehead on mine and I could see her eyes. In this lighting, they were slightly green. I would have spent a thousand years in the green maze riddled with brown spots that they formed.

And I would keep you up all fucking night, she whispered, her lips barely a centimeter away from mine, and they arranged into a small curve that destroyed the already small possibility that I wouldn't kiss her before the night was over.

And now that your boyfriend- she let go of me and put a short distance between our bodies, but continued to stare at me as we both sang the lyrics -is blowing up your phone- then proceeded to fashion a phone with her hand and raised it to her ear with that last word.
