The One With The Shifting Tv

The tv was changing channels. From Disney to news, to Fox, to sports, back to the news. Not one channel would stay more than a fractioned second.
I took the control from Naomi's hand. They complained, whining.
"Jeez, girl," I rolled my eyes.

Only they could be so annoying when watching tv. We had been like that for over ten minutes. I was over it. I pressed the red N button in the control and entered Netflix. I opened mine and put on Criminal Minds.
"There," I told her, putting the control aside and laying next to them. She was rested facing the tv, her legs crossed. I placed my hand under her, grabbed her waist, and with my other hand placed her legs over mine, on the side. I felt the delicate skin on her waist and caressed it. Tingles began to flow over my entire body.

"Where's Valen?" they asked out of the blue.
"Who?"
"Your neighbor."
"Oh," I mumbled. They were impossible. "What should I know."
"Aren't you guys like a thing?"
"What?" I arched my brows. "No. That was you."
"Oh, so you don't have a thing for her?" they turned around and faced me.
"No," I lied. I hadn't really made my peace with this crush, I'm not gonna go and tell Naomi of all people.

I grabbed their waist again and pulled her closer. They arranged their head on the mattress and smiled at me, innocently. They were not good at making a move.
I kissed them and they got on top of me. I grabbed their ass and placed my hand under her black joggings.
"Let's hang out with her," she suddenly said, "I like her."
"What?" I shrunk my brows.
She placed some distance between us. "Let's hang out with her," she repeated like I haven't heard her already.
"What's with you and Valen? You're like obsessed," my nerves were soaking in jealousy. If they went out because I didn't tell Naomi I liked her, I would probably murder someone.
"I don't know, there's just something about her. She looks so pure, but, I just know that much purity is an act, one hundred percent. She seems so interesting to me, I can't really explain it."
"I-" know! I almost said. "Do you have a crush on her?" I searched her eyes for a reaction.
"Nope. It's purely platonic," she truthfully answered. "I just would really like to get to know her."

So I texted her. I figured it wouldn't suck, and Naomi was already busy making me miserable over this, so what could I lose?
But she didn't reply until the next day.

VALEN
Sorry, I was already sleeping.
Some other time.
Thanks for inviting me, though.
